Barbell or Dbells for Hypertrophy?

Have been trying Resilient after several series on Forged and have noticed that Neen and Corey both use dbells for bench/incline bench, etc. I (40s F) can def push more weight with a barbell than dumbbells so if the goal is Hypertrophy, is it more beneficial to stick with the dbs as programmed or move to the bar?
