I bought a replacement power cord cable from asusparts.eu for my ASUS VG27AQ1A and it fixed the problem with the monitor restarting on loop for hours.

Hello everyone,

For a while now, my ASUS VG27AQ1A monitor has been restarting in a loop whenever I turn on the computer. The warranty had expired four months ago, so I didn’t know what to do. After a few days of research, I found that many other people were having the same problem with the same monitor or a very similar model, and they said the issue was that the capacitors in the power supply “brick” were defective.

Then, I read that several of these people had fixed it by simply buying a new power cable (with its “brick,” of course), so since my monitor itself was in perfect condition, I also wanted to just replace the cable with a new one.

To do this, while searching for a website where I could buy official ASUS parts in Europe, I came across https://www.asusparts.eu, which, although it looks like it, isn’t official, but it was the one that convinced me the most at first.

They had the exact replacement I needed and shipped it from Sweden to Spain, which was perfect.

Here’s where a problem arose: I didn’t receive any confirmation email or anything like that. I decided to wait 24 hours just in case, but I wrote to them after that time had passed because I was worried.

A support representative replied right away, explaining that there had been an error and fixing it immediately. By the time I saw the email, I already had the confirmation email as well, with a delivery date and a DHL tracking number.

The order arrived on the date they had estimated from the start, and I received exactly what I bought: a new exact replacement for my power cable and its power adapter.

After replacing it on my monitor, it’s working normally again: people were right—all you need to do is replace the power supply.

I’m writing this post for everyone who, like me, has looked for information or will look for information in the future and wants reviews from real people who have bought from this website: in my experience, it was safe, but I had to contact support because of the issue with their website.

Otherwise, the website is very odd, and to this day I still don’t understand the login process or why they’re called asusparts when the company is actually a different one, but I have exactly what I ordered on the estimated date and it works great.
