I’ve been pounding my head trying to fix this problem for weeks now. I only use quicken for its mobile app as it allows me to see the budget remaining immediately after entering a transaction in the app. I’ve been using quicken for the better part of two decades now, but I’m very close to looking for an alternative due to this issue.

I use the windows desktop classic version along with the iOS classic mobile app. Here’s what I have tried:

  1. Removed a few accounts on desktop to see if I had too many accounts.

  2. Trimmed down the file size by doing an end of year copy so that everything prior to this year is now gone.

  3. Reset the cloud account on desktop.

  4. Deleted the budget file and created a new one.

  5. Deleted the cloud file and created a new one.

Entering a transaction on the mobile app does not automatically show the change in the budget portion of the dashboard. Swiping down does nothing as well. The only thing that updates the budget to the new amount is going into settings and selecting refresh data.
