Was Dottore’s plan to have Nahida burn Irminsul, rather than do it on his own?
Hello! I would like to share my thoughts with you. Please excuse me in advance if my English is bad. With 6.6, I wondered: Was Dottore’s plan to have Nahida burn Irminsul, rather than do it on his own?
Several points made me think about it:
- First of all, it would be easier for us to get it with Nahida than for him to get it himself (I don’t think Mavuika would have given it to him or that he would have stolen it). Moreover, Nahida is probably more likely to be able to use it than he is.
- Moreover, we have seen this lizard several times, whether in 6.3 or 6.6. He only appears at suspicious moments, as if he were spying on us to make sure everything goes according to plan. It is probably him, first because we know that in 6.3 he made experiments involving soul transfers between animals and humans, then because he resembles them with his red eyes and the color blue. He appeared when we obtained the gnosis with Nahida, as if he were checking to see if everything was going as he had planned.
- According to the item Tree Marrow III, he had planned to play the villain and then die in 6.3 at Nodkrai, in order to join the energy lines by death, to infect the Irminsul. Thus, Nahida would be forced to burn Irminsul.
- Before he dies, he speaks several times about his last experience. He even mentions his wish in the cutscene: that of having a grandiose funeral. This indicates that he planned his second death well, and that he hopes to be rewarded for it. However, who would organize his funeral? And who would reward him by doing so? I suppose it could be the Tsaritsa and Pierro.
- The Tsaritsa seems to consider him a traitor. Yet, Pantalone was surely allowed to bring fatuis with him. It would be inconsistent to allow him to help the traitor that is Dottore. It would surprise me if Pierro and the Tsaritsa weren’t aware that Pantalone wants to help Dottore in Sumeru with his last experiment. So I think they might be behind all this, especially since burning Irminsul would benefit them.
- According to Nahida, there are now more possibilities for the future. That would be precisely what the Tsaritsa and Pierro want. I think that 6.3 was a kind of theatrical staging, where Dottore played the villain traitor so that he would be killed to join the energy lines and damage Irminsul. For this, the Tsaritsa had to authorize Arlecchino and Sandrone to kill him, making them believe that he was a traitor. Finally, the letter from Pulcinella in which he apologizes for the damage inflicted by Dottore is certainly a diplomatic manipulation, so as not to degrade the relationship between Sumeru and Snezhnaya.
