I just chatted with a USCIS live agent regarding my pending I-485 case. I politely asked whether there had been any updates, such as a transfer to a field office, an interview being scheduled or waived, or whether everything was proceeding normally.

The agent simply sent me the processing times link and told me to check whether my case was outside normal processing times, then ended the chat without answering my specific questions.

Has anyone else had this experience?

My I 485 filing date March 20, 2026.

Biometric : April 28, 2026

No updates since then.

Need Advice on Diminished Value Claim After 2 Not-at-Fault Accidents
I have a 2025 Toyota Camry XLE Premium Package and both accidents were not my fault.
1st accident:
Mileage: 4,000
Repair cost: ~$2,700
Fully repaired with OEM parts
2nd accident:
Mileage: 6,500
Repair cost: ~$1,800 (current estimate)
Since the vehicle now has 2 accidents on record, can I still pursue a diminished value claim for the second accident? How much does the first accident usually affect the DV payout on the second one?
Any suggestions or similar experiences would really help. Thanks!
