I’m curious because I was at the Butchart Gardens and they had a bunch of Pericallis x hybrida flowers. The guide said the common name was painted daisy.

I’m curious about this being a regional thing. Because most information about painted daisies refers to a different flower (Tanacetum coccineum), and none of the information I’ve found about Pericallis x hybrida connects them to painted daisies.

I did reach out the Butchart Gardens, and they were the ones that said it’s regional and that in this region those flowers are called painted daisies.
