Kia Cerato 2017 Head Unit / Display is Black and doesnt turn on but usb works

I have a 2017 KIA Cerato. I got in my car and the screen and radio no longer work. Just blank. First I tried the reset options with a pin, no response. When I plug my phone into the USB charger there is a charge though which is odd. I went to a computer specialist and he says the mother board goes out on them all the time and I need to just replace it with an after unit one; he said it would be $850 with install (he didnt look but said it was odd my usb still works). It just suddenly stopped working when connection when phone off and on to a teams call not in apple play mode. I checked the manual and have tried replacing the required fuses (only the 15 amp one i replaced not the 7.5 multimedia) and still have no response. Should I try to replace module fuses? Does this sound like an electrical issue or has my touch screen died? The car is past its warranty unfortunately and kia dealership doesn't replace them. I saw some people disconnect the battery-- i have yet to try that yet.
