What would be the best way to Clean the rust off a Rusted Kushala Daora?
So Kushala is an Elder Dragon with metal scales which rusts overtime or happens during its molting from the wikis I read. After watching some of those old timey restoration videos which restore old things, it made me wonder it would be possible to remove the rust off of said elder dragon.
Some of the things I've seen so far have been.
- Electrolysis: Car Battery and Washing Soda used to take off Rust in a ZAP (This however could harm the Kushala since they are week to lightning.)
- Ultrasonic Cleaner: Oil and high frequency shaking (Kinda like a big massage chair and oil bath mixed into one.)
- Steel Wool/Wire Brush: Metal Brush and Sponge, elbow grease and a lot of scrubbing (Very simple but also needs lots of manual labor but comes in various sizes.)
Now I will admit I am no rust expert, I just know it happens to metal due to water and oxygen meeting up together. Since in the older cgi videos it seems Kushala has rain during those wind storms when it is around, meaning there's not much we can do against the rust as no matter what it's going to happen. Some preventives might help, but from what I know that would require either a coating or oil, and I do not think a Wind Dragon is going to stay oiled up for a long period of time no matter how much you try or how much oil you might have on hand.
Now you might be thinking, why go through the trouble of doing this? If it is natural, just let it happen naturally. Which isn't wrong, but whenever the Kushala is rusted it becomes quite upset and uncomfortable, which I can only imagine is like a really bad sunburn on it that it can't get rid of easily, which in turn leads to it attacking villages or settlements because of it. So if one was able to remove the problem causing rust off the Kushala so it didn't have to deal with that issue for as long of a time, the amount of villages and settlements being attacked by them would in theory go down. So take a day or two or a couple to dedicate cleaning the Kushala would be very positive to multiple parties involved.
Plus if things go well and it is stated that Elder Dragons have a bit higher intelligent than other monsters, I think the Kushala Daora could recognize the pattern that Settlement Cleans Rust Off = Feels Better could lead to a beneficial relationship. The Kushala gets clean while the village or settlement gets a bunch of old rusty scales to use. Meaning everyone leaves happy and better off than before.
After all, I think you would be pretty upset if you got like a peeling sunburn all across your body and people sent the 1976 Philadelphia flyers to beat you to death because you were a little bit cranky. So with this solution the Elder Dragon gets clean, the village gets scales and not destroyed, and everyone leaves better off.
Of course this is merely a theory of how things could go, I would love to hear what others would think would be a better method or way to clean a Rusted Kushala Daora.
