Alexia and decentering men
ETA: I definitely should have phased this better, I just wanted to point out how frustrating Alexia’s behaviour has been to watch because I see it in the woman in my own life.
I understand where she is coming from.
I think a lot of Alexia’s issues this past season and the current situation with Todd is because she won’t decenter men/Todd. I’m not saying she can’t still love Todd and still want some sort of relationship with him. I just wish she would stop making him the centre of her world.
Some examples of this behaviour:
Contemplating going back to Todd after he allegedly left Frankie home alone for hours while he moved him and his daughters out of their shared house.
Constantly ragging on Nicole and Anthony about why they haven’t gotten married and made it official
When Nicole was having issues with her dad, Alexia told her to get over it and forgive him because “He's a man and he doesn't need to apologize"
Every excuse she has made for Peter, especially when it came to his arrests.
Signing for a house with Todd, even through her name isn't on the deed. She is adamant about living with Todd even though it may possibly come back to bite her if it goes south. I hope for her sake it doesn't.
There's probably more I'm forgetting but these are the main ones that stick out to me.
