[FOR HIRE] GIS Specialist for Spatial Analysis, Map Development, Small Tasks & Bug Fixes

GIS specialist looking for remote work and projects. I work with a range of GIS platforms and geospatial tools and am available for both small troubleshooting tasks and larger spatial data or mapping projects.

I can help with things like fixing GIS bugs, web map development, spatial database setup, data conversion and ETL, CRS/projection issues, layer styling, GeoServer configuration, automation scripts, remote sensing workflows, and general geospatial troubleshooting. I can also build complete GIS solutions such as custom web map dashboards, geoprocessing pipelines, spatial databases, field data collection setups, and other mapping tools.

Tech stack/experience includes:

  • QGIS / ArcGIS / ArcPy
  • PostGIS / PostgreSQL
  • Python (GeoPandas, Shapely, Fiona, GDAL)
  • Leaflet.js / OpenLayers / MapboxGL / Maplibre
  • GeoServer
  • Google Earth Engine
  • R (sf, terra)
  • OpenStreetMap / Overpass API
  • WMS / WFS / REST spatial APIs

I'm comfortable working on:

  • Existing GIS projects and codebases
  • Student / academic GIS work
  • Startup or NGO mapping tools
  • Custom map dashboards
  • Geoprocessing pipeline development
  • Field data collection setups

Pricing is negotiable depending on task size and complexity.

  • Very small/simple tasks start around $10
  • Most small/medium work falls in the $30–60 range
  • Larger projects can be discussed separately

Rate: $15–$30/hour depending on complexity. Fixed-price quotes also available for well-defined tasks, just describe what you need and I'll give you an estimate upfront. Agreed prices won't change mid-project.

Portfolio and work examples available privately on request.

If interested, please PM with:

  • What you need help with
  • Relevant details, errors, or screenshots
  • Your timeline
  • GIS tools/software you're using

Remote only.
