Honda civic clutch replacement
I had my honda civic 2016 i-Vtec 1.4 serviced at an approved by Honda dealer in Slough United Kingdom. They put amber on the clutch and advised that it needs to be changed in the next 5 months as the biting point is too high.Also I noticed that it accelerate s very badly on hills and I have difficulties with 1st, 2nd and reverse gears. They quoted £985. Is this a high price? I am worried that if I decide to do it with them they might say that the flywheel needs replacement which adds on another £560 as per their prices. How much a private mechanic charge for the whole replacement. How to be sure they are not upselling a flywheel? Can I request a video or anything else proving this? I would appreciate any advice as I know nothing about cars 😟 Thanks
