Is this considered safe?

I really wanted to try out reshade but what I don't want to try out is a virus :) I guess I'm a little scared because of that gshade drama, even though I didn't even have sims at that time lol. and is it hard on a pc? I have a Bosgame Mini PC E2- Ryzen 5 3550H 16GB DDR4 RAM and a 512GB M.2 PCIe 3.0 SSD 4 cores, 8 threads, up to 3.7GHz. hope that helps!
