Possible issue with SWIFT transfer sent to Meru US account (they may only support ACH) — money not received
Hi everyone, I’m new to Reddit and I’m trying to understand a banking issue I’m dealing with.
Someone sent money from a bank account in Israel to my Meru US account using my routing number and account number. I was expecting it to arrive normally, but I recently checked the transfer receipt and it shows that the payment was sent via SWIFT.
This is where I’m confused:
From what I’ve read, Meru may not support SWIFT transfers and might only process ACH transfers. If that’s true, I don’t understand what happens when someone sends SWIFT instead of ACH.
It has now been about 6 days, and I still haven’t received the funds in my account.
I also noticed that Meru support is sometimes being handled through a Discord ticket system. One person named “Eduardo” is responding there, but I’m not sure if that is official support or not, especially since:
The Discord is mostly in Spanish
I’m new to Discord and not confident using it for financial support
I don’t know how to verify if someone is actually part of official Meru support
My questions:
If a SWIFT transfer is sent to a US account that only accepts ACH, what usually happens?
Does it get automatically rejected and returned to the sender, or can it get stuck somewhere in the system?
How long do SWIFT transfers usually take before you can confirm there’s a problem?
What is the safest way to contact official Meru support directly?
I’m just trying to understand if this is a normal delay or if there is a real issue I need to worry about. Any advice would really help.
