2025 Q5 - New gen or old?

We’re looking to upgrade our daily driver that we’ve had for years and our top pick so far is a newer Q5. It would be our first time with an Audi.
We went to the nearest dealership a couple hours away to test drive an “all new” 2025 and were hoping to check out the b9.5 interior on a lightly used 2025, but they said they were getting a recall fixed and we weren’t able to see anything besides the brand new ones.
We liked the Q5 best out of everything we looked at so far - main takeaways were that we liked that the doors felt heavier and more substantial, helping to dampen noise once you closed everything. The seats were comfortable and we felt there was more than enough room in the front. Loved the console layout, with spots to set your phone that aren’t the cup holder, etc. I also really liked the driver seat height as it felt like I sat up a little higher than in most other cars we tried out. Obviously loved the way it drove too, overall it surprised us with how much we liked it.
Our main concern is obviously all of the bugs that people have been reporting with the new MMI and overall reliability. We didn’t love all the screens and that was the one thing we were indifferent about, but loved the feel of everything else.
So the question is - is the old style 2025 similar enough everywhere else, just without the massive screens? That it would be a good compromise? Can anyone attest to the front seats and driver position being the same? Is the tech updated enough in the 9.5 2025 that we wouldn’t feel like we bought an older car right from the gate? It looks like there’s gauge cluster is digital and not analog? We still want some of the new tech and all the comfortable features the new ones offer, but would still like some buttons and fewer bugs.
Also, it’s hard to tell from photos, but is there adequate sized slots to set your phone/sunglasses when you get in? It looks like there’s a slot in front of the shifter that’s almost too small to be useful.
Any insight would be helpful, especially since we can’t just run down to see different ones after work. Obviously the lower cost of the older style is nice too, but we don’t want to feel out of date within a couple of years.
