Returning Items Issue
Hi, so I accepted an order today which totalled £7.55 Picked up from the shop and went to the customer. There was no answer so contacted customer support who advised to leave the non-alcoholic stuff and return the rest and that I would be ‘compensated’ for my time. I did that, but when I went to check the fee I was given for the delivery, it had went down. Is this right? Do we, as drivers, get penalised for customers not answering the door? I thought the ‘compensation’ I would get, would be on top of the £7.55 I accepted for the delivery. Why should I be penalised for the customer not being in? If anything, I’m more out of pocket as I had to use more fuel to go back to the shop with the alcohol. This doesn’t seem fair, or should this not be the case and something has went wrong here?
