Things I made

Roast strawberry souffle from A Whisper of Cardamom, except I used blueberries and sumac - delicious but a bit sweeter than I prefer.

Lentils with caramelized onion aïoli and crispy chile oil from Mezcla - excellent, came out much drier than the photo in the book . The onion aioli was too runny if I followed the recipe so I just used all the caramelized onions for it.

Bialys from New European Baking, made with mushrooms/za’atar/black garlic filling. Nice and chewy, these were a hit!

Bukhari Bread from Honey & Co.

Not as pretty as the photo in the book, but delicious. Very pillowy and tender on the inside with a nice crust. I had to add a little more water than called for.

Soft Butter Rolls from New European Baking

The buns are incredible - so, so soft and fluffy and they smell like butter. The recipe was very precise but worth the effort. I used the optional sourdough discard and they rose like crazy. My flour was all purpose rather than stone ground wheat and my only note is that 40 g of cornmeal is too much to sprinkle on top.
