So SNL week is finally here. Historically, Paul seems to be very keen on surprise small-gig shows prior to nationally-televised performances.

• Irving Plaza in 2015, 2/14 (Friday): The night before SNL 40. It was a late show, starting at around 11pm.
• Bowery Ballroom in 2025, 2/11 (Tuesday), 2/12 (Wednesday), 2/14 (Friday): Three shows last year before SNL 50.
• Fonda Theater in 2026, 3/27-3/28 (Friday/Saturday): Two shows a few days before Apple's private show on 3/31. Not televised but similar logic.

I feel confident something could materialize this week - the questions would be where and when. Irving Plaza only has availability 5/12 and 5/13, barring a late night show. Bowery only has 5/12 availability. Any other speculative venues? Sony Hall 5/14? Any venues with suspicious cancellations or several consecutive days blocked? How does everyone else feel?
