Help with alleged collections
I was investigating why my credit score had dipped and realized I had a collection from EASTERN ACCOUNT SYSTEM, INC. recorded 3/2/2026.
After researching the agency, I realized it might have something to do with my Comcast account I canceled last year. The issue is, I thought everything was handled. I made my last payment on 11/20. I got a notice that I had 2 receivers to return which worried me because I only had one. When I dropped it off at the Xfinity store, they told me the second receiver would be removed (I think it was my first receiver that I had to trade in to get my 2nd receiver).
Now I'm showing I owe $549. Is help/assistance available? I tried logging into my account but it's understandably not very useful with my account being inactive.
