$25k in debt for a worthless degree and zero jobs. Now the same school wants $50k for law school. Is higher education just a financial trap?
I spent 25k on a criminology degree that has not gotten me a single job. I apply everywhere and nobody cares. My university swore this program would lead to a real career catching criminals, but the only jobs out there are minimum wage security gigs. Now the exact same school is begging me to enroll in their law program. I studied every night and scored a 175 on the LSAT. You would think a score that high means a full ride. They just see it as an excuse to charge me 50k in tuition. I am nothing but a walking bank account to them. They already drained me once and left me broke. The whole higher education system is a trap to bleed us dry. It is a complete scam. How am I supposed to pay off this 25k debt on a minimum wage salary? Does taking on 50k for law school ever actually make financial sense, or will I just be trapped again? I have no idea where to begin and need advice.
