Cognitive improvements

Hello all, dropping in with a positive update. I've posted semi regular updates about my recovery arc. As always, slow and steady. Nothing revolutionary. I'm not here to peddle quick fixes or therapies (there aren't any).

In my two year update I shared that I felt largely recovered. Back then I'd have put my baseline above 90%. It's been 4 months since that post, and it's been little confusing because I thought I had handle on this but I started having intermittent brain fog and sluggishness that I thought was behind me. This coincided with gut issues that really cropped up around the same time.

This is continues to be a strange and baffling syndrome. I didn't really have many gut issues in my first two years dealing with PFS, other than while on the drug and when I came off. My gut improved and stabilized initially but something knocked me back earlier this year and my gut has been in a flucutating state since.

That was until about a month ago when I finally started to try probiotic supplements. I didn't try any in my first two years of PFS. Not only did my gut issues calm down (not 100%) but my mental issues abated right along with it.

I've had consistent levels of energy and concentration for about a month unbroken, that I would say nudges my baseline to damn near pre-pfs. Libido is better too.

We all know there's a gut-brain issue here. It seems my bad gut was causing my brain fog and energy problems.

I think a lot of people have seen similar improvements by addressing a bad gut. I think I'll feel even better as a I continue to experiment in this direction.
