Before anyone says it, we always have at least one regular checkout open right up until closing, and usually more than one.

So if you genuinely feel that our self-checkouts are “targeting“ you with random checks and that I am “accusing you of stealing” by doing the random check that the self-checkout demands before it will process your payment, enough to cause a scene by raising your voice at me…

Then don’t use the self-checkout, please. No one made you come here.
