How do i get my partner to talk about their problems
My partner and i sometimes fall out in our relationship but they just refuse to talk about what's bothering them. My partner often suggests we take breaks from eachother, they aren't normally long only lasting between 1 to a few days as they need it to help cool off. I don't mind them doing this as I understand they need time to relax however, they never actually adress directly what is bothering them and told me multiple times that they are not going to talk about what is bothering them. I find this very annoying because we never actually resolve any of the issues that arise we just cool off and then not have any issues for a month or more then once again the same issue occurs. My partner just completly refuses to resolve issues and then tells me that we clearly don't work and they don't know what we should do. I've made it clear multiple times that we need to talk to eachother in person to resolve our issues however, like always they refuse to adress these issues.
I love my partner however I also have some issues which I need to talk about with them. During arguments I often get disrespected with insults and completly ignored for days, and even passive aggressive reposts on social media and even singing songs on their singing account which subtly attack me and insult me. To be honest I also don't talk much about the issues I have as everytime I try to talk about what they do that bothers me the conversation gets flipped onto me being the one in the wrong and I end up apologising for voicing my opinions. I'm not asking for much just basic respect. I wish to talk about this stuff in person but they refuse. and whenever I tried to do it over text I get completly undermined and the fault gets put onto me and I end up apologising and I get insulted etc. My partner doesn't seem to understand that it should be us fighting the issue not them fighting me while I adress the issue.
