Why is my nipple this itchy 🤷‍♀️

I had a segmental mastectomy 2.5 weeks ago, part of the tissue was behind nipple so obviously nerves were damaged. My incision is to the left of the nipple the entire height of my breast and while large, it’s healing ok, but my nipple Is insanely itchy all the time. Like an itch from within. It looks ok, no discharge or anything visual. It must be nerve related? Does that ever go away? I Haven’t even begun radiation yet, I imagine that’s not going to help the situation.

Dcis

I was hoping someone here could help me. I tried posting this question in the breast cancer sub but it wasn’t allowed over there. I was recently diagnosed with DCIS (ductal carcinoma insitu) grade 2. It started as an atypical ductal hyperplasia diagnosis via core biopsy but when I had my partial mastectomy to remove that and take enough tissue to be sure there wasn’t cancer lurking nearby, they did find this carcinoma, among some other high risk stuff in that breast. It appears to have been removed, it looks like my margins are clear of any more DCIS, but I am being referred to oncology. I’m not sure when my appointment is yet but I’m wondering if anyone here has had DCIS and if radiation is usually following the surgery. It not truly cancer I’m told. So I’m wondering if treatment would be necessary or if anyone has any experience with this?

The waiting after surgery 🥲

Partial mastectomy for adh yesterday. Prognosis going in was that due to the severity of the adh in the core biopsy chance of malignancy in the surrounding tissue is high so a good margin of tissue had to be taken along with the precancerous papilloma. So now I’m just waiting here with half a bruised boob to see if this is over or just beginning lol. All from my very first mammogram, had zero suspicions of anything going on.

This is new for me on my labs, and I’ve been hypo for over a decade. I’ve been feeling like extra crap lately and I just had my bloodwork yesterday for upcoming surgery and I see my ferritin was extremely low. Is this a normal thyroid thing? Im only spiraling because I’m in the process of having surgery for a pre cancerous breast tumor and I really don’t want my doctor calling me Monday sending me for 60 other tests for what else could possibly be wrong with me so I’m hoping low ferritin is just a common thyroid situation that we can not freak out over lol. I’m already overwhelmed 🥹
