RA and allergies

I have rheumatoid arthritis that has been under control through the use of lefluemenide and plaquenil. I got sick with a virus about 6 weeks ago and then my tree pollen allergies kicked in. Tree pollen is exceptionally bad in the Northeast right now. I swear both of those things triggered a flare that's refusing to subside. I'm very fatigued and lethargic. Similar to the way I was when I was not medicated. I have intermittent pins and needle pains in my hands and feet that I didn't have before. Very intermittent though. Don't happen a lot but I know that they're there. And I'm light-headed and dizzy throughout the day. Fuzzy as well. Do allergies impact ra? Or did the medication stop working?

Elderly?

My 66 year old mother would like to try it. She's 4'11 and 165. Obviously it would be to her benefit to lose some weight. Does anyone know of any issues with older people taking it? On another board they mentioned that it may not be good for elderly people since it does cause higher heart rates and some people. Also how do you have a conversation with your doctor about taking a gray market drug? Or do you even mention it?She has RA and takes two drugs for that but there is no contraindication for them with Reta. Thanks for any info you can provide.
