my friend Daniel

A few days ago, my friend (whom we'll call Lucy), another friend (whom we'll call Henry), and I started a discussion that I'd like to share with you now. It all started with a small discussion, which I don't remember at all now, about our friend Daniel. The fact is, at a certain point, Harry says that the name Daniel is strange for a female. We immediately say that he's an idiot and that Daniel is a boy, and I explain it to him very simply: "Daniel is a man who was a woman and who, obviously, is biologically a woman; but he is a man." I explained it to him like that, simply, so he would understand. There was no need for all these clarifications, but since Harry is an idiot, I told him like that.

Lucy intervenes and says: "It's not right to say that Daniel is biologically female: what does that have to do with anything?" I obviously go and explain it to her, I clarified it, and she says: "Yes, I understand; but you shouldn't say that." She also adds that Daniel is not biologically female. I tell her, "Yes, Daniel is biologically female, but he's a man, so that's it." But she keeps repeating this idea: I'm only saying one thing: "Daniel has a female body, but he feels like a man, so he can only call himself a biological man once he's finished a transition, if he wants, but now he's biologically female, period."

I wanted to ask you, because of this thought of mine, whether it's a homophobic piece of shit or not, and if so, if you could explain to me where I went wrong. Thank you very much.
