this is just my public appreciation for mermaid tales i think it is a beautiful story and i have had the best time watching the story progress with characters we love in a new light and new characters as well! on everything for mermaid tales i keep seeing more and more comments about mystreet and such and i’m also incredibly and absolutely excited for that as well, but it is frustrating to see all of those comments when mermaid tales is a story that jess wanted to and was excited to tell as well. you don’t have to like it if it’s not something you want to watch, but i just feel like the story and all of the long hours and work they put into it aren’t being properly appreciated because people are just nudging for mystreet. i’m also excited for it, but also really really enjoyed mermaid tales as well!

this is not meant to come off as criticism to the fandom, and i’m sorry if it sounds rude but there is something that has been bothering me!!!! it feels like every time jess posts a mermaid tales video there are immediately loads of comments under the video talking about questions or excitement about mystreet or my inner demons and such like when it’s coming or asking how many episodes until mermaid tales is over so the next series may come. the excitement is totally and absolutely valid! i’m also very excited for mystreet and my inner demons, like an indescribable amount. it’s my baby. HOWEVER it does bother me seeing comments like that under mermaid tales videos because they’re working HARD to produce this series, and this is a story that jess really wants to tell! and i feel like the comments just asking about other series is undermining and under-appreciating all of their work and maybe just a little disrespectful? (if that’s the right word). idk i see it under every episode and i really love mermaid tales too and i think it’s got to be hard for jess and the team to love this story and work so hard on it to then go and maybe look at comments and they’re just asking about another series. i want them to feel appreciated and know that we like the series!!!!!!!! they work hard to bring these stories back. and if you don’t like it, that’s fine too! idk it’s just been bothering me to see it in all of the comments. i understand the excitement for other series, and i know the dates have been pushed back, and i recognize it’s frustrating, but also she’ll do it in her own time and she’s said that she just wants to give us the best it can be! and she’s mentioned that mermaid tales is important to the story (which i’m sure we will learn more about). okay that’s all it’s just been bothering me for a while and maybe i’m the only one? byeee
