It’s been troubling me for years. He’s my favorite character, and always has been since ~2015. I saw online that his birthday falls on a Friday the 13th, which narrows it down a lot but it’s hard to follow. If the popular consensus is true and he was 28 in 2018, that puts his birthday in 1990. If this year is true, that makes his birthday either April 13th or July 13, as those are the only F13’s in 1990.

If this is true, he would be entering kindergarten in 2005– which is impossible for Aphmau due to her birthday. This opens up the possibility that Zane was held back in school, but there’s no evidence to support this argument. All in all, it seems implausible that he was born in 1990 and was he was really about to turn 29 in 2018, not 28.

I also saw somewhere that his birthday was in october or september, which would force his birthday to fall in 1989 or 1985.

1989 seems the most plausible assuming that Jess’s birthday is also canon Aphmau’s birthday, and since Zane and Aphmau entered freshman year at the same time, this would mean they are roughly the same age. If Jess doesn’t share a birthday with her character, I’m cooked.

In 1989, there are two instances of F13– January 13th and October 13th.

This creates a problem. If Zane were born in January, that would have him entering kindergarten an entire year before Aphmau. The only option left would be October 13th, giving them both the means to enter kindergarten at age 6, and enter freshman year in 2004 at the age of 15.

However. Some sources say that Aphmau is slightly older than Zane, but if his birthday was on the highly-plausible October 13th, 1989, this would make him a few days older than Aphmau.

The wiki ALSO supports Zane being born in 1989, because according to the wiki he was 28 in Mystreet S5, which came out in 2017, despite a lot of people saying he was 28 in 2018.

As you can see, this has been tormenting me consistently for over a decade. I’m a 21 year old man and I’m still thinking about this stupid block character. Please keep in mind I haven’t interacted with this fandom in a very, very long time, so if there’s new info or more evidence to support any claim, let me know

this is just my public appreciation for mermaid tales i think it is a beautiful story and i have had the best time watching the story progress with characters we love in a new light and new characters as well! on everything for mermaid tales i keep seeing more and more comments about mystreet and such and i’m also incredibly and absolutely excited for that as well, but it is frustrating to see all of those comments when mermaid tales is a story that jess wanted to and was excited to tell as well. you don’t have to like it if it’s not something you want to watch, but i just feel like the story and all of the long hours and work they put into it aren’t being properly appreciated because people are just nudging for mystreet. i’m also excited for it, but also really really enjoyed mermaid tales as well!

hey so i’m rewatching mystreet after a few years and im watching mystreet in a playlist that has it in chronological order, but i’ve heard mystreet S1 comes before pdh and im not sure if i’ve missed out on a lot or anything

So, I know it has been YEARS since mcd (not the rewrite) and the mystreet timeline is still active... but does anyone have like, headcanons or ideas as to Laurance and Cadenza's family in mystreet?

As we know, Laurance was first adopted by Joh in mcd and then by Hayden, but would that be the same in Mystreet? It states that they're also adopted in mystreet, yet Caleb is a carbon copy baby of Laurance? Would that mean that Cadenza is the adopted one while Laurance's bio parents are alive and just took her in?

Yet at the same time, Caleb is like- 2? An infant when Laurance and Cadenza are in their late 20s to early 30s? Could Caleb be adopted too? I've been dwelling over this since regaining my interest in Aphmau's mc rp's and this has caught my interest.

What do you all think? Because I really like to think or headcanon that in mystreet Joh DID adopt Laurance, but died of heart failure (to mimic him getting shot in the heart by an arrow from his mcd counterpart) which led Laurance to be orphaned again only to be adopted by Hayden alongside Cadenza. I just don't know as we never hear Cadenza or Laurance talk about their parents personally. Just as a passing by conversation that doesn't give us any details about them.

Thoughts?

Im interested to know the types of inspiration jess used for MCD / MS / MT (possibly others in the same universe). I just realised the term lycaon is likely based on mythology, I’m wondering if any other tropes/characters/etc are inspired from mythology or history! Or if they are her own creation 😊

Edit: more history related, as I understand Jess also took a lot of inspiration from anime, final fantasy and more!

I feel that as people bash on aphmau and basically say they will stop supporting her even after everything and actually stating out that she is horrible and so is cat face is just sad . Jess has always had more of a flair for being creative and telling stories . They need to understand that she is still running a business that supports her family and livelihood and just say the rudest things ever and saying how their writers should come up with all the ideas and yes they should think of ideas but it is hard to create videos while working with other people so sometimes using ai can help with that ( not saying I agree with AI art or using it to completely write everything just as a tool to help) but I feel that as a community we shouldn't bash on them and instead talk about we feel and use evidence in our arguments.

It’s almost time y’all, Mermaid Tales will have it’s FINAL episode soon! We are aiming for August 1st for a release date! I hope you guys have enjoyed this story so far and I wanna say thank y’alls for your patience. A bit of behind the scenes here, and I know I have said this before, but RP’s are not as easy to do as they once were and our team has been doing an amazing job on bringing each episode to life! We are gearing up for more to release and Mermaid Tales has been a great step in that direction. If the option says “Aphmau” that means that Aphmau VA’d characters other than her own.

I just wanna see what style people liked! Since my favourite is probably Starlight or Angels :)
