So.. Let's talk about the recent CatFace Drama (AI Allegations, Employee Abuse, Boycotting?)

LONG RANT INCOMING:

So we all know about CatFace, right? The company owned by Jess and Jason? Well they have been under a lot of heat over the past few months, a lot of it being revolved around apparent AI usage throughout the company as AI images could be seen on the AphMeow website. Jason admitted that they use AI for videos on the main channel, for like brief video ideas. There is also stuff about abuse going on in the company, most likely meaning the overworking of the employees and possible mistreatment.

The company CatFace has very bad management and that has been apparent for a while now. I want to give my personal thoughts on a lot of these controversies, especially since they are quite literally causing a BOYCOTT on Twitter (I deleted twitter just off of that.)

Okay, so let's start off with the “abuse" going on within CatFace. A lot of employees have come out throughout the past few months (or years, really) expressing how they have quit working there and also expressed that things felt too heavy, which is a very common thing. There's been trouble around this even back when BluJay Studios was a thing, where certain voice actors were fired and other employees let off either out of arguments had with Jess or Jason, I'm assuming it's something around there.

I will NOT defend this in any way. I love Jess and Jason and although none of this is 100% confirmed, it is STILL something to take into consideration. I understand that working a company can be incredibly difficult and stressful on the mind, but if Jess and Jason (or just Jason) is really the rude, easily angry man people say he is, then that's where things need to change. They have an entire fanbase of people that have been supporting them, and they know that people are starting to ask questions and demand answers, yet they stay silent.

They are doing this with the AI stuff as well. Jess, and Jason, do NOT communicate well at all. If they do, it's very brief and kinda sliding under the rug. When Jason “admitted” to using AI on twitter, you could tell that he wasn't being fully transparent. When the latest AI scandal happened I was SURE that SOMETHING was going to be said.. but it's been weeks and nothing has been said at all.

I just find it difficult to fully understand why they won't just be honest? I hate to see all of this drama, I just want to be able to look forward to MS and MID but I can't ignore this stuff. They KNOW what's going on within the community and they know that things will most likely crash if they keep avoiding these allegations, but they refuse to take that risk.

They need to realize.. that with every controversy - people WILL leave and people will STAY. There will be people who accept it and forgive them or give them another chance, and there will be those who cut them off and forget they ever existed. If they just make an honest and genuine video admitting to the truth and showing that they truly are trying to make amends and a change, that can do literally WONDERS.

I KNOW it's not that easy, because that's a huge risk to the brand. Though, it's not like either path is going to end up going well. In fact, avoiding all of this is practically them saying that “yeah, everything is true” and even if it is.. JUST TELL US! Try to actually CHANGE the way you manage your gigantic company. People WANT to be able to watch Jess and smile, but they can't when the creative spark that Jess ALWAYS had is being endangered by the eagerness to include AI.

A part of me isn't mad at the AI stuff relating to the MAIN CHANNEL because videos come out everyday on MULTIPLE channels so it's gonna be damn near impossible to come up with totally original concepts out of thin air.

A lot of people around the fandom have gained the idea that even the ROLEPLAYS have AI in them, and I simply don't really agree with that. I fully understand that with the increasing AI drama, it's impossible to be sure. Roleplays have ALWAYS been where the creative spark shines brightest and it's clear that Jess have wanted her stories to return for a while now, and it's clear that a lot of work has been going into the production. I guess I'm just kinda scared of everything just crashing down.

The videos on the main channel are also very trendy, and a lot of the old fans miss the genuine connection we could have with the mini games and the different games they'd play in general. We want more of Jess, not cocomau, we want a mix, atleast. I want the person, not the money funding.

I really want to understand and find the light in all of this, but I refuse to ignore these problems just because of how much I adore the stuff they have put out for so long. I just want them to speak up and be completely unfiltered with her older audience. Let us know what's going on, that's all we want.

People should not be feeling forced to do things at a company, people should not be quitting because of how OVERWORKED they are. There's already a new drama going around about Chris (the VA of Ein.)

Guys, things just keep piling atop one-another. It's going to reach a point where they can't be silent anymore, and that's exactly what this “boycott” is about on twitter. It's basically just not supporting CatFace, like you can watch the older roleplays and videos pre-cocomau, but for lime merch and stuff, that's making them money.. and the only way to get them to recognize the reality is to push it onto them. I have bad feelings about this, but I know this is for the better, and that if they realize the support is going down.. they might feel like they HAVE to say something.

I really wanted to write this just to get my feelings out because drama has been going on non-stop for literally months on end. What do you guys think? 😔 I just want transparency to show a sense of a future where things will get better.

One Piece Episode 1180 - 1 OR 2 CHAPTERS?

Do you guys think we are getting 2 chapters adapted for the next episode? If its the final episode I feel like it would make a lot more sense to adapt both chapter 1150 and 1151? I feel like this episode should be super intense, so if they just adapt 1150, it's obviously gonna be dragged out (depending on how they drag things out, it could be really good).

The cliffhanger difference between 1150 and 1151 are strong and I feel like having 1151 as the cliffhanger would bring so much anticipation for the next batch of episodes, yeah? I understand that HEROINES counts as one the episodes in this batch, but what do you guys think?

BORUTO & SARADA: The Reunion!

Just something random I decided to do. I kind of imagine this maybe taking place sometime after the main threats of the TBV story were dealt with. No real context, to be honest..

I need Ikemoto to really give the sweets to us bro, I know they haven't spoken much for long periods of time as a story choice but DAMN it I need a real heartfelt conversation between the two.

I hope this looks accurate to the characters even tho its in my style. 🥲

Aarmau's Beauty & It's Tragedy (MCD AND MS🔴🟣)

WHY I THINK AARMAU IS WRITTEN BEAUTIFULLY (AND TRAGICALLY) IN BOTH MINECRAFT DIARIES AND MYSTREET!

So, you guys all know Aaron right? He's everywhere when it comes to Aphmau, especially on her main channel. The hot guy who any girl would fall for, yeah? That guy.

I've been wanting to make a post like this for a WHILE, and I know this has

been talked about before.. but I wanna give MY perspective on it! Nothing I'm going to say is meant to sound like an objective fact, it's simply my view on how AARMAU could be and how I personally interpreted both MCD and MS.

Let's start with Aaron in MCD, specifically S2 where his character and association with Aphmau REALLY becomes a focal point:

MINECRAFT DIARIES:

Aaron is a broken soul, he lost his entire family and village in a literal second by Zane's handywork. That broke him in ways that I could never imagine.. Your entire life and everything you stood for and protected falls before you can even take your next breath. His wife and child.. gone. He literally lost his purpose in the world. He was a tree branch ripped from a tree and is now.. just.. it's lone self.

Aaron is originally introduced in S1 and slowly finds his way into the group with Aphmau, Laurance, Dante, and the others. For a long while he is a distant defense, a wall that would protect only if needed. No talking and no unnecessary glances. That's all he was. A shadow that protected without being asked.

Being around Aphmau and her group in general began to give Aaron a sense of purpose again, even if he was still very quiet about it. He stopped Laurance from killing Aphmau when he transformed into his Shadow Knight form, he was like the anchor the group needed at certain moments. A lot of fans view him as just the typical “cool quiet guy” trope, and while he does fall into that.. It's a lot deeper than that.

Aaron was a Lord, just like Aphmau was.. and Aaron from afar could see her struggles emotionally with the absence of Garroth and still trying to keep a brave face around her friends. Aphmau's character revolves around the world around her pushing her into corners that she tries to put on a smile when being cornered, she wants to lead in her own way. She tries to handle so much on her own and often worries about others over herself. That's a common theme with her as a person.

Aaron could see her burden, and slowly started to open up and lead alongside her in his own mysterious way. He gave instructions during times when Aphmau couldn't be at her best, and that's what started the eventual love stuff.

Aphmau and Aaron had this connection that she didn't and couldn't have with Garroth and Laurance. Laurance is obviously struggling with himself and therefore wouldn't be able to be in a stable proper relationship with her even if he wanted that. Garroth is definitely a better contender than Laurance, but has his own issues with O'Khasis and his family.

Aaron gave Aph a space where all was understood, there was no contest for love, and there was no loud crazy talk. Aaron was the calm she needed from the storm, he's been through hell and back and is still willing to help Aphmau stand up and continue walking forward. That's VERY admirable.

I understand that from the perspective of the viewers, Aaron comes out of nowhere compared to Aphmau's dear guards, but that isn't the point here. Aaron gave Aphmau a space to talk about literally anything and he would never get loud or react over the top, he was always soft spoken and always heard her out. That's exactly what she needed for anything. There was also trauma-bonding. They both understood the pressures that came with being a Lord, so Aaron could very well help her and guide her when she felt like she was being crushed.

Their relationship in MCD is not in your face like in MS, and it's very mature and discreet.. and that leads into my next point.

People say that Aarmau is rushed and forced in MCD, and for the rushed part I completely understand.. but I think of it like this.. There were moments between the two that not even US, as the viewers, were meant to see. Their relationship grew more and more intimate behind the bushes, and there were simply moments that were only truly meant for them.. not us to spy on and watch.

I'm not saying Aarmau in MCD has zero flaws cuz there are definitely flaws in the execution, but this is how I filled in the blanks and gave a bit of nuance to it. I dislike the straight forward hatred people have for Aaron as a character and for his connection to Aphmau, that just doesn't sit right with me at all.

Aphmau gave Aaron purpose again, and he went from drowning in his grief to wanting to possibly start a new future with her.. not completely abandoning his love for his previous family, but taking that love and what they would want for him.. and finally starting to move on.. even if only a little bit. They both showed that they weren't alone, and that they would stand alongside each other no matter what. They became more than friends but less than lovers, then.. of course.. they DO some things in the forest.

I do not think their relationship was purely out of love, and that's the tragic part. I think a good chunk of what led to Aphmau's pregnancy was a mix of “in the moment” relief and genuine understanding being mistaken for more. The love could've REALLY blossomed into something really otherworldly if Aaron stayed alive just a little longer, but that opportunity was ripped away from them both when he decided to sacrifice his own life.. not for ZANE.. but for Garroth, someone Aphmau held very close to her heart.

Just when Aaron's heart was starting to open up again.. he decided to end all of those future possibilities to save someone who could continue to protect the woman he grew to care for so much. He always wanted the best for her, and his choice to end it all was to add onto that wish.

He probably didn't even know Aphmau was pregnant at that point either which makes the tragedy that much worse. One could continue to grow due to the other's influence, but that other soul couldn't live to let her influence let him soar to new heights after losing everything he loved once before. He was NOT willing to let that same incident occur again.

Like I said before, the execution of their relationship could've been so much better but we have to understand the things Jess was going through at the time with death threats and stuff over FICTIONAL SHIPS. It makes sense for a lot of the writing choices she went down to.

OKAY!! That's it for the MCD side of my thoughts on the portrayal of Aphmau and Aaron's relationship! Time for..

MYSTREET!!

This section is gonna be a bit more straightforward..

Aaron through most of his childhood could NOT interact with a single soul outside of his family who already treated him like a disaster waiting to happen. He had to go to military school and couldn't go to a normal school until HS and that caused him to be a bear that if you poke.. it may or may not come at ya. Aaron grew to become VERY closed off and cautious after constantly being told how dangerous he is without having full context as to why.

He was always forced to be alone, except for one thing.. He and Aphmau (known as SHU before actually meeting in PDH) played an online game together where they always interacted.. That was literally a candle in Aaron's world of darkness and isolation. Aphmau gave him a room to talk and feel human.. kinda like MCD, except it's the other way around.. sort of?

Anyway, when the two eventually actually meet in PDH, they immediately go from enemies to friends. That connection sparks like there was never any beef between the two in the first place, that's how strong the connection between FC and SHU was. Nothing could break that bond.

When Aaron felt like he didn't belong or that he should even exist.. Aphmau was always there to remind him that he has people that care about him.. he has HER. She confirmed to Aaron that he did matter and that he wasn't ever truly alone.

Think about it, anytime Aaron was close to falling.. Aphmau's voice brought him back up. She became one of his main reasons for even being alive.. She became his light, and if that light were to ever go out.. Aaron would LOSE himself.

COUGH COUGH!

Aphmau defies everything Aaron's father continuously tried to push onto him.. that he couldn't be in public, couldn't have friends, and ESPECIALLY couldn't have any romantic relationships.. which were the things Aaron craved more than anything in the entire world.

The tragic part of Aphmau being so important to Aaron is that he would literally DIE for her. Let's head to Emerald Secret, where Aaron's whole plan is to get enough money to get Aphmau to Starlight Wonderland, the place she's dreamed of since childhood. Making Aphmau happy is what keeps Aaron's heart beating, and if she isn't smiling.. something is wrong.

The forever potions.. The controlled woman he loves so much said things that he used to reinforce to himself before meeting her.. before pushing him off the edge of a cliff.

He literally died.. but yk what?

He came back to life with the help of Irene's words.. MCD Aphmau's words towards a version of the man she loved that she, herself, won't ever get to experience that love with the way MS Aphmau can. The love between these two in MS can make tears turn into waterfalls.

They were split from each other for an entire year, and their love for one-another never faded.. it only grew stronger from such a traumatic experience. They both understand each other in ways nobody else can. They both keep each other going, and they both remind each other that they will always be there, and waiting.

Aaron wants the best for everyone, coming from someone who's been isolated damn near a good chunk of his life, he wants to see everybody he cares for smiling and happy. Aphmau is the reason why Aaron even gave his family a second chance after ALL they put him through.

Aphmau is literally Aaron's pillar, and once that pillar breaks in When Angels Fall.. Aaron completely loses himself.. QUITE LITERALLY AT THE END BTW.

Okay, I've probably been ranting more than needed but this is basically my look into MS and MCD's portrayal of this relationship. I know I didn't focus too much on the negatives but I wanted to mostly focus on the positives since that's my view.

I know Aarmau as a whole is very saturated across the Aphmauverse but I can't bring myself to hate the ship. It's just so good and well written to me 🥲, I hope whoever sees this can understand my personal perspective on this topic.

I know nothing I said is anything other people haven't said but that doesn't change my point. I hope you uh… enjoyed reading this? Yeah.

I just get sick and tired of people saying that Aaron is a character that focuses too much on Aphmau (IN MS) when it's like.. yeahhhh? You would kinda think he would when she's been the only person to really understand him the way she has.

In MCD.. things could be better for what we were shown.. there is a lot more going on than just a rushed or “forced” relationship plotline.

I think Garmau and Larmau are amazing in their own right, but theres obviously some issues.. MOSTLY REFERRING TO MCD IYKYK
