The Hokage Mess in Naruto/Boruto is real

The whole Hokage madness in Konoha after the war is just insane, okay? So, one day, Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha decide to build the village of Konoha to put an end to the conflict—which doesn't really work out, but hey. Hashirama wants Madara to become the First Hokage, but the villagers vote for Hashirama instead. Believing the Uchiha are being oppressed, Madara takes off and basically kicks off the First Shinobi World War... If he hadn't done that, he could have become the Second Hokage and liberated the oppressed Uchiha; instead, Tobirama Senju becomes the Second Hokage and proceeds to oppress the Uchiha. Yet, shortly before dying in the war, he passes the position to Hiruzen Sarutobi because Hiruzen passes the test while Danzo Shimura fails it—so Danzo doesn't become Hokage. Danzo wants to wipe out the Uchiha because he believes they want to destroy the Senju. That’s how far the feud had escalated; the war between the Uchiha and Senju continues just as before, only now it’s happening within a shared village where new clans—like the Hyuga and others who had nothing to do with the original conflict—are suddenly dragged right into the thick of it...

Meanwhile, many people are dying as the world war enters its second and third phases; amidst this turmoil, talented new shinobi emerge who aspire to become Hokage. Nawaki Senju—Tsunade’s brother—dies in the war, so he cannot become the Fourth Hokage; the same applies to Dan Kato, who also perishes in the conflict. Kushina Uzumaki wishes to be the first female Hokage but never gets the chance because she harbors the Nine-Tailed Fox within her. Tsunade, the granddaughter of the First and Second Hokage, would have been a prime candidate, but she is traumatized by the deaths of Dan and Nawaki; understandably, she declines the position of Fourth Hokage. This brings us to Jiraiya, who simply refuses the role, leading Danzo Shimura to propose Orochimaru. Danzo actually wants to be Hokage himself but faces opposition from Hiruzen and the village elders, prompting him to suggest Orochimaru instead. Meanwhile, the Uchiha clan attempts to have Fugaku Uchiha—father of Itachi and Sasuke—become the Fourth Hokage, but this does not come to pass. Ultimately, the choice falls on Minato Namikaze, as he is not evil like Orochimaru and has helped many people during the war. It is remarkable that so many candidates are proposed or deemed capable of the Hokage role while the war rages on and Hiruzen shoulders the entire burden.

However, when Minato dies saving the village from the Nine-Tails, the Uchiha clan attempts to nominate Fugaku Uchiha as the Fifth Hokage; this fails because the clan is suspected of having let the Nine-Tails into the village. Consequently, Danzo cannot nominate himself either, so he proposes Orochimaru instead—but since Orochimaru has gone rogue and is conducting experiments, that plan also fails. Meanwhile, Obito has been saved by Madara and wants to become Hokage to bring freedom to the village (Madara himself cannot take the role because his body is not fully restored), but this is naturally out of the question, so he remains in the background for the time being. Hiruzen Sarutobi takes over, but after his death, the question of succession arises again. Danzo wants to nominate himself, but the village elders recommend Jiraiya once more; he declines again and goes to find Tsunade. If Tsunade were to refuse, Kakashi Hatake would be an option, given that he was the Fourth Hokage's student. Furthermore, Itachi attempts to gain control of the village—so, theoretically, he could have become Hokage had he managed to neutralize Danzo—but because he had to flee from Danzo and is now considered a rogue ninja, that is not possible; ultimately, Tsunade is found and becomes Hokage...

With Tsunade in a coma, Danzo sees his opportunity: Kakashi Hatake had previously been deemed too young and is closely associated with the Nine-Tails, Sasuke Uchiha has gone rogue, and there is no one left to stop him. However, Danzo is killed by Sasuke just as the conference for the Fourth Great Ninja War is approaching. Obito Uchiha suddenly wants to become Hokage and rebuild everything from scratch; Sasuke Uchiha wants to start a revolution and become Hokage to "purify" the spilled Uchiha blood (or something similar); and Naruto Uzumaki still aims to become the greatest Hokage. Yet, because Naruto also harbors the fox spirit, the choice ultimately falls on Kakashi Hatake—as he is the only remaining student of the Fourth Hokage and there are hardly any other high-ranking Jonin left alive. Meanwhile, however, Tsunade wakes up and resumes leadership of the village and command over the Fourth Great Ninja War.

Once the ordeal is over and peace has been restored, there are only two candidates for the title of Seventh Hokage—two individuals who defeated not only a world war but also an extraterrestrial threat, thereby saving the world: Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. However, since Sasuke Uchiha was a rogue ninja, the choice falls on Naruto Uzumaki. Kiba Inuzuka also makes an attempt, but unfortunately has no luck, as Naruto is celebrated as a hero

After Naruto is put out of commission by Kawaki, Shikamaru temporarily takes over as the Eighth Hokage; however, there are other potential candidates—such as Konohamaru Sarutobi, Sakura Haruno, and Kiba Inuzuka—since Sakura was the Fifth Hokage Tsunade’s student and Kiba Inuzuka still aspires to the role. Although Konohamaru Sarutobi is the Third Hokage’s grandson and the Seventh Hokage’s student, he is still too young, so the choice fell on Shikamaru. Yet, now that Lord Kobu and the elders view Shikamaru as a traitor, we might see a new Eighth Hokage appointed from among the same group: Konohamaru Sarutobi, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, or Kiba Inuzuka. Since Konohamaru works closely with Shikamaru Nara, he would likely be ousted as a traitor too, ruling him out; Sasuke is currently a tree—and thus unavailable—plus he was a rogue ninja anyway; that leaves Sakura Haruno and Kiba Inuzuka. Sakura Haruno would most likely take over as the Eighth Hokage if Shikamaru Nara is dismissed, as she did not collaborate with him, is the Fifth Hokage’s student, and oversees the medical division; furthermore, she stands a better chance than Kiba Inuzuka, given that she could potentially deal with the tree situation. Kiba Inuzuka probably won't become Hokage—poor Kiba—though he *could* still make it; after all, the villagers view him as a police hero who looks out for the village, which might give him an edge, especially since he doesn't work closely with Shikamaru. However, there are complications: since they all grew up alongside Shikamaru and fought together, the elders and Lord Kabu might not trust them—with the exception of Sakura. Hinata could have been Hokage, but she’s out of the picture, just like Naruto. That leaves Hanabi Hyuga—a Hyuga, a shinobi, and Kawaki’s aunt (according to Omnipotence)—who is powerful and could therefore be chosen as the Eighth Hokage. Then there’s Shino; as a strong fighter and Academy teacher, he knows how to deal with the Daimyo and Lord Kabu. He isn't entangled in Shikamaru’s affairs or military matters, which makes him a potential candidate. Yet, the issue of the shared past with Shikamaru applies here too. Ino, Sai, Temari, Shikadai, and Choji certainly won't be chosen, given their close ties to Shikamaru—and the same goes for Inojin and Chocho.

Sarada Uchiha is currently being held captive by Code, so she cannot become the Eighth Hokage. This makes Hanabi Hyuga—who, according to Omnipotence, is Kawaki’s aunt—and Sakura Haruno—who fought alongside Naruto and Sasuke—the most logical choices for the role. As for the others, such as those in the Anbu, they will likely be sidelined; Ibiki might be appointed by the village elders and Lord Kabu since he does not work directly with the others, whereas Moegi and Udon likely won't be considered, given their potential collaboration with Konohamaru. Finally, there is the possibility that Kawaki himself becomes the Eighth Hokage, since the elders—due to Omnipotence—view him as the Seventh's son.

Once things return to normal and all the battles are over, the 9th Hokage will be appointed—since the 8th might step down again. This suggests that Sakura Haruno, Konohamaru Sarutobi, or Kiba Inuzuka could be candidates (perhaps even Sasuke, though who knows what might happen). Then, once that generation’s era ends, the final 10th Hokage will be chosen from among Sarada, Boruto, or possibly Konohamaru again. Kiba might be an option too, provided he still wants the job—though you really have to feel sorry for Kiba, given that he lacks the special bloodlines the others have...

~20 Sibling Moments Between Naruto & Sasuke

These moments are taken from:

  • Sasuke Retrieval Arc
  • Tenchi Bridge Reconnaissance Mission Arc
  • Itachi Pursuit Mission Arc
  • Pain's Assault Arc
  • Fourth Shinobi War Arc
  • Before and After the Second Final Valley Fight

There are still more moments from these and other arcs, but they are implied or need explanation.
-----------------------------------------------

Explaining Pics (5): The foundation for feeling like real brothers/family started years before Team 7 because Naruto told Sasuke he saw him as his brother during the first Final Valley fight. Then Naruto said this bond was one of the first bonds he ever had, and it immediately cuts to them as young kids (both smiling) about five years before Team 7. And right before this reveal, child Naruto had an internal monologue discussing his orphan experience at that very young age and how he was connecting with the other orphan's suffering. Their shared extreme loneliness and trauma were the foundation for this family-like connection 5 years before Team 7, and Sasuke says the same after their final fight. Naruto was seeing the brother he never had in Sasuke, and Sasuke was filling the blood family he lost with Naruto, specifically the brother spot (Itachi) and seeing Itachi in Naruto.

Explaining Pics (6): Sasuke was clearly moved by Naruto’s seeing him as a real brother and started showing him respect for the first time in this fight. He put on his headband after that line, which had been a request from Naruto during their hospital rooftop fight: to put on his headband and fight him as an equal. Back then, Sasuke refused, saying, “You’re never my equal.” So here, Sasuke was acknowledging Naruto as an equal in both strength and loneliness, and he literally says that to him right after this scene. When Naruto asked why he would even bother with the headband when he still wanted to kill him, Sasuke said, “It's because you know what loneliness is, just like I do. Now we will fight as equals".

Boruto vs Naruto Sage Mode, but without denying reality this time

Base Boruto could probably do this even with a chakra-infused twig from a nearby tree.

Evidence: the manga

Jigen was already massive powercreep as a character as he beat Naruto and Sasuke 1v2. Jigen is then dwarfed by Isshiki, the Otsutsuki really incarnated. Who didn't just beat Naruto and Sasuke, he styled on them (lil reminder, Surfboard-Sasuke)

Boruto is at minimum stronger than Jigen as he beat an even stronger Code. And yes, Code really is that strong:

https://preview.redd.it/gl3itbyo9bkh1.png?width=1113&format=png&auto=webp&s=7bdbb68fa2385b72894db66f8d3eb8aa81ac1b97

I think we can trust the lil guy who probably is top 1 of all time when it comes to sensory abilities (who tf can sense the whole earth trembling a wee bit when that trembling was so minimal that nobody else could notice it?!)

And it's likely that Boruto is even near or at the same level as Isshiki. Where does Isshiki scale? Ideally, he'd need feats against Jigen since the latter is often used as a benchmark. But that is impossible due to obvious reasons. All we know is that reincarnated Isshiki is a lot stronger than his Jigen self, both clearly shown by Kashin Koji's reaction to Isshiki's power and Isshiki very easily beating Naruto and Sasuke

Who else is much stronger than Jigen? Daemon and Boruto. Daemon was even more impressive as he only used taijutsu to easily beat Code. But Boruto too is by all means quite a bit above Jigen since he could physically keep up against a stronger Code just fine and easily beat him with a single ninjutsu.

Idk how anybody can read the manga and then think adult SM Naruto beats current Boruto. Adult SM Naruto vs Borushiki (not in current Boruto, I mean in 12 year old pre-ts Boruto ofc), now that would be a closer match in which Naruto could win.

But post-ts Boruto? You can add KCM, six paths and everything prime Naruto had AND prime Sasuke and they still lose. Boruto most likely still wins even if you forbid the use of ninjutsu for him since his stats should be above Jigen by quite a bit now (meaning he too can just go through a perfect Susanoo with a normal ass flying kick and is way too fast for Naruto and Sasuke)

Even Baryon Mode Naruto beating Boruto is questionable to say the least. BM Naruto couldn't even deal significant physical damage to Isshiki when the latter didn't even try to stall and outlast him, just some bruises here and there. So it's very possible that Boruto could even win against BM Naruto by outlasting him.

And as some may try to argue about experience as a factor that could make Naruto win:

-experience is only a factor until your opponent doesn't outscale you by several tiers

-experience stopped mattering against Jigen already, the man was breaking through a perfect Susanoo by just jumping straight at it with his leg stretched forwards

-Daemon, the cyborg kid who is carried by Shibai cells, gave Code one hell of a beatdown despite Code using Karma there iirc (it gave him all of Isshiki's accumulated battle experience and didn't matter in the slightest)

-Jura, the new powercreeper character (going from Jigen>>Naruto and Sasuke to Jura>>Boruto and Kawaki) beat Boruto down. Jura, the lad with nearly 0 experience on ANYTHING, beat Boruto, a trained shinobi. Even Kawaki with Karma wasn't taken seriously by Jura at all despite Kawaki also accessing Isshiki's battle experience

Conclusion: Boruto is AT LEAST a bit stronger than this guy:

https://preview.redd.it/wiwkrg4xdbkh1.png?width=678&format=png&auto=webp&s=b5a3c6cb2606d879107f7b09fb5060a4fdfbd959

And possibly even way stronger than that, strong enough to use prime Sasuke as a surfboard too (Isshiki level)

Boruto vs adult Naruto with just Sage Mode (what in the spite?!) in a nutshell:

https://preview.redd.it/ox86cd4febkh1.png?width=640&format=png&auto=webp&s=d66f6478e2f0b62dfb4075665a0363572031f89b

Note: this post doesn't mean I dickride Boruto and hate Naruto btw. Boruto is simply much stronger due to the massive powercreep being used to keep the cast of important characters small

OP bros vs Juiz (Undead Unluck)

Juiz is a character that negates the sense of justice of someone, forcing them to behave in a way contrary to their goals and morals. By looking their targets with her eyes uncovered. How would this power interact with Boruto and Kawaki?

With this negation, she managed to defeat the literal personifications of Death, Change, War and Justice

I know this might not be the best place to ask such question, however I've already submitted this on the official powerscaling sub, yet only gotten one response

Anime will do the heavy lifting - as always !

Just read the recent ikemoto interview- man gotta say ikemoto has idea’s but he can’t seem to put in on paper

Most of these questions could have been easily portrayed in the actual manga and not an interview and made it look and feel soo very much better , we would feel the characters the impact and aftermath of omnipotence on hima and Sarada/sakura

Realistically these could have been 8-10 panels over two pages - no dialogue required too -

Now it seems like anime will have to expand on these and well what will manga purists say now ? Is this canon or not ? Who cares

Anime > Manga

Q: Just as Jiraiya was called the “Pervy Sage,” does Kashin Koji have that tendency as well?

A: Actually, he does. However, while Jiraiya was openly extremely perverted, Kashin Koji is a closet pervert, so he doesn’t show it outwardly. As long as someone is nearby, he probably won’t reveal that side of himself. Even when he’s alone, Eida’s “Senrigan” exists in this world, so he should remain wary of it and avoid letting his true nature slip.

----

Q: Please tell us your favorite male character and female character, Ikemoto-sensei!

A: Sorry this doesn’t really answer the question, but for now it’s a secret. I don’t want readers to be unnecessarily biased, and my opinion of the characters often changes depending on how the story develops at any given time. If there’s an opportunity after the series is finished, it might be interesting to reveal my final personal ranking. Since that alone isn’t much of an answer, the characters I find difficult to draw lately are Kawaki and Chōchō. Conversely, the easiest for me to draw are middle-aged and elderly men.

----

Q: After Omnipotence, what did the people around Sarada think of her words and actions? Also, I’d like to know in detail how Sarada spent those three years.

A: Sumire, who likewise escaped the effects of Omnipotence, deliberately tried to avoid conspicuous words and actions, but Sarada held nothing back and continued telling people the truth exactly as it was. On top of that, with her father Sasuke having left the village together with Boruto, she must have faced extremely harsh treatment from those around her. There were probably things like graffiti on the walls of her house and slander directed at her. To begin with, even before the Omnipotence incident, there were already a certain number of people who thought poorly of Sasuke. Her mother Sakura must have gone through a difficult time as well, but like Sasuke, she continued to stand by Sarada.

----

Q: How did Himawari come to be trained by the three members of Ino-Shika-Chō?

A: After Omnipotence, Himawari was worried about Boruto and sought advice from Sarada, who was taking his side. However, because Sarada was in the situation described above within the current Konoha, the three members of Ino-Shika-Chō became concerned about Himawari and urged her to distance herself from Sarada. Gradually, Himawari began spending more time with Team 10, and in order to become a source of strength for Boruto, she began shinobi training alongside Team 10.

----

Q: Around when did Inojin start to like Himawari?

A: He only started becoming conscious of her recently, likely because they began spending more time together through training and missions. Himawari is capable enough to handle all the household matters by herself and has an independent mindset, so she gives those around her an impression of being more mature than her actual age. Inojin first came to admire those qualities in her, and that admiration gradually developed into romantic feelings.

----

Q: How is the physique of a Shinjuu determined? Is it related to the physique of the human it originates from?

A: Basically, they end up roughly the same size as the human they originated from. However, some Claw Grimes are larger individuals, and those may end up bigger than their original human.

This is everything related to Boruto in this month’s V Jump issue.

Boruto vs Naruto Sage Mode

✅ Full video: https://youtu.be/Z2LtGcegoas

Main Argument

Contrary to popular opinion, Naruto without Kurama is not necessarily weaker than adult Boruto. With the right tactical approach, Naruto has a strong chance of winning thanks to his experience and superior battlefield control.

Naruto’s Strengths

Enhanced Sage Mode: With age and experience, Naruto’s chakra control has improved, allowing him to maintain Senjutsu for longer than he could during the Pain arc.

Massive Chakra Reserves: Thanks to his Uzumaki heritage, Naruto can fight a battle of attrition and continuously create hundreds of Shadow Clones.

Sensory Abilities and Frog Kumite: Naruto’s sensory skills give him a complete awareness of the battlefield, while natural energy extends the effective range of his physical attacks beyond the reach of his fists.

Boruto’s Weaknesses

Limitations of Flying Thunder God: Boruto needs pre-established marks to teleport. Naruto can detect these marks with his sensory abilities and destroy the objects carrying them.

Karma’s Weaknesses: Karma cannot absorb physical attacks, and attempting to absorb Naruto’s Senjutsu chakra could potentially result in petrification.

Risk of Losing Control: In a prolonged battle, repeatedly activating Karma increases the risk of Momoshiki temporarily taking control of Boruto’s body.

Rasengan Uzuhiko — The Biggest Factor

The Threat: Uzuhiko utilizes the planet’s rotation, and Naruto has no direct counter to this technique.

The Weakness: It requires roughly 30 seconds of preparation and sustained contact. Naruto would never give Boruto that much time, constantly pressuring him with Shadow Clones.

Conclusion

Boruto is a fighter built around burst damage and speed, while Naruto is a master of adaptation and battlefield control. The longer the fight continues, the more Naruto can take control of the battle, neutralize Boruto’s speed advantage, and ultimately win through endurance and tactical adaptation.

I don't think boruto has any meaning full death?? Do they??

Previously we had that was kurama but he revived into himawari(or i can say they both are essential one)

Now with the resurrection of nine tails there is no death that is meaning full..

All the deaths that happened in Boruto NNG and TBV

Are -

Momosiki (alive inside of boruto but technically dead)

isshiki (dead)

Delta(died but a cyborg so amado recreated her)

Boruto(died but got revived)

Ryu(dead)

Matsuri(dead)

Bug sinju(dead)

There is no charecter that died to give us some low moments

Boruto feels like the charecter have 1 km thick layer of plot armor..

I am not hating on the story but its true no matter how much of a fan you are

Big Naruto lover here from back in the day need help with boruto please!

I love all of Naruto and Naruto shippuden (except the fillers, minus the episode with Choji and the butterfly wings, that was awesome). I could never get into boruto because the beginning wasn’t good, due to the real creator kishimoto not doing it. However I heard boruto is actually really good now and I want to watch it. What episode does it start to get REALLY good? Help! I’m also down to read a little bit of mango for an hour or so if need be to get through some stuff to understand if the anime doesn’t do it justice but I just can’t watch the first 60 or 100 or so episodes because it’s painfully slow and doesn’t pull me in like shippuden did time and time again.
