Hi,

My husband's company hired an immigration firm to handle our visa processing. My h4 was standalone and while his h1b was approved, I have had zero updates since the receipt notice. My husband was laid off and we are currently on the 60 day grace period.

1. Can I re enter on my b2 visit visa after the 60 day period or do I need to apply for a new visa?

2. How can I get an update on my application or try to expedite it? I have no access to the application/immigration firm since the layoff. I do have the receipt number.
