Can I get old Google maps images unblurred?
Hi everyone - a bit of an unusual one. I was wondering if anyone knows if I could contact someone at Google maps for this? Basically, my grandmother died 5 years ago. Her house was sold to a developer who knocked it down and rebuilt two new smaller houses in its place.
Every now and then I like to go on street view to see her house (old dates), but I just looked up her address and the new homeowners have had the house blurred. Obviously that is totally fair, but all the old dates of the address are blurred now too.
I know it’s silly but it just was a nice thing to be able to go and look at it, the one from 2008 even captured her coming home from work so it’s like a bit of a time machine for me.
Do you think I have a leg to stand on to request the older images be unblurred seeing as it’s technically a different house? Based in the UK if that matters.
