Hi!

In my city local jewish community opened the synagogues for tourist. Was wondering if it's possible to change its default calendar to the jewish holiday one. For example today there is some jewish holiday but at the Google Maps it shows as it is open, also in few days there is a catholic holiday (in my country bank holiday) and it is marked as closed because of it. A lot of tourists rate the synagogue as 1 star because according to Google Maps it should be open, but inside there is shabbat prayer so tourists are prohibited. Is there any way to change it?

I've noticed that for a bit more than a week, maps is lagging a lot. The maps won't load, I can't use search, when I click on a location, I can't look at informations.

I emptied the cache, I checked my Internet connection but nothing worked.

Is it an international bug ?

I always have a hard time picking a spot to stop, whether it be for food, gas or restrooms. I always hope that a better rest stop or something will come up soon.

I struggle using Google Maps to plan out stops ahead of the trip or while driving so I rely on signs on highways.

Does anyone else struggle with this too? Do you use other apps besides Google Maps?

Asking because I'm in the process of leaving my abusive ex. I just watched a video about someone (healing by numbers) tricking their ex by switching their location sharing from their iPhone to their iPad. Not sure if this is an apple product thing or if it's something that can be done in maps.

Would be super helpful for my apartment hunting if I could do something like this.

Had roughly an hour drive this morning for an appointment. Was somewhat familar with the route but not familar enough to drive blind. Inputted the route in and got there without a hitch. Took the highways for most of the drive until i got in town. Took about 55 minutes.

Heres where it goes downhill exponentially. For some reason it routes me an entirely different way on the way back and i hadn't recognized it until i was already in deep enough. It added another 25 minutes onto my return trip as time went on and quite a few more miles. I spent the entirety of the trip on very small rural roads, 25% of them being tar and chipped, completely torn up for contruction. Altogether this return trip took me about 1 hour 25 minutes and completely trashed my car.

Why in the world would it think taking this route over the exteemely efficient highway route i took in would be a good idea? Ive never been more frustrated with gps than i am now

when I try to open up your vists and maps history I get this what does it mean i am connected to my network i can't add images but i get maps is offline check your internet connection

We own DMW Motor Cars, a European auto repair shop in Houston, TX, and recently we’ve been having an issue where legitimate customer reviews are not appearing publicly on our Google Business Profile.

The customers can still see the reviews posted on their own accounts, but the reviews are completely invisible on our business listing. We also noticed that an older review from one of our customers, Ricky Flood, appears to have been removed entirely.

Most recently, customers Buka Ekwealer and Jesus Gonzales both left reviews after picking up their vehicles from our shop and neither review showed up publicly either.

After researching online, I found multiple discussions mentioning Google’s review filtering system, but these are real customers and we can provide invoices/service records if necessary.

We already contacted Google support but have not received a response yet.

Has anyone else experienced this recently? If so, did the reviews eventually appear or is there an actual solution to this issue?

I understand schools can receive fake or abusive reviews, but other important institutions face that too. Wouldn’t better moderation make more sense than removing reviews entirely?

Parents also rely on reviews for safety, bullying concerns, infrastructure, fees structure and overall experiences.

When I browse Google Maps on a Safari browser I get a pop-up to install their Maps app, but they've changed the normal expected order of the buttons; what I expect the buttons to be (OK / Cancel) are actually Cancel / OK and the text on the buttons is frankly misleading:

"Go back to web" - I'm already on the web, so this text is wrong - it should be 'Continue on web'

"Continue" - takes me to the app store

Hi everyone! Long time Google Maps user, and I just recently discovered location sharing. My bf and I now have each other's locations shared through Google Maps, but I'm wondering if there's a way to see him on my home page when I open the app, similar to the way I can see my own location or saved locations. It's just slightly inconvenient to have to navigate to the location sharing feature every time I wanna check on him. Thanks!

I'm looking for an app that can record my path so I can view it later on Google Maps or Google Earth. I used to use the "My Tracks" app, but it's no longer supported. I tried OpenTracks but I can't seem to get the data to save in a format I can view again.

Let's see if I can explain this. When I open Google Maps and type in a location that I want to see, more often than not it doesn't move the map to that location. It just sits at my default location or wherever I was last at.

So, just now I opened up Maps and it centers on Los Angeles, my current location. So then I typed in a city in the Midwest … and the pane on the left opens up with the location and some facts, but the map didn't move. Only if I hit F5 to refresh will it re-center. Closed Maps and tried it again with a larger town – Minneapolis – and it recentered. After that if I closed and tried the smaller town again, this time it moved to that location.

So, it is sort of hit and miss, but sort of annoying, too. Maybe I should be asking if this is a Chrome issue, or a Maps issue.

A couple weeks ago my city in central NY got full 3d renderings in the desktop version of Google Maps. Today, they're all gone and it's back to the older maps. Google earth pro shows the new renderings, but only flattened down to 2d; the 3d renderings are all gone.

Is this normal? I don't understand why Google would go to the effort of making 3d renderings of an area, only to pull them back two weeks later.

So i'm having a weird issue with the timeline after deleting my local timeline visits. I turned on timeline yesterday and it worked, then i wiped the timeline data from my phone tomight and turned it off. i turned it on again and ever since the timeline will not show any visits (always the no visits this day) BUT in timeline settings (settings-location-location services-timeline) i can see that my phone does records routes and visits. Google support forums is pretty much useless so i'm trying to ask here instead. App bug? Account issue? I'm clueless. redmi note 10 plus, latest maps app, all things up to date and all settings are ok (timeline on, location on, battery saver off).

I recently went on a multi stop car ride from my house to my girlfriend’s house and then to our final destination, using Google Maps. On the way home we were going only to my house and it was late night on open highway but it brought me on a weird route, getting off the highway much earlier than normal and brought me very close to my girlfriend’s house for seemingly no reason. Has anyone seen similar oddities recently? It made me think AI was analyzing where I had driven previously and brought me a similar way.

Someone contacted us saying a competitor hired a third party to attack our Google Business Profile. We have a full conversation showing our business was specifically targeted, plus written confirmation that legitimate five-star reviews were removed overnight.

We filed reports with Google. Since then, reviews are still dropping, and now new reviews from real customers are not showing up at all. It feels like our profile may have been restricted after repeated flagging activity.

We also have an evidence package matching each removed review to a real customer visit, including appointment/payment records.

Has anyone successfully gotten legitimate Google reviews reinstated after something like this? What worked? Was it Google support, legal escalation, GBP community forum, or something else?

We are not trying to game reviews. We just want legitimate customer reviews restored and our profile protected from ongoing abuse.

Do you use Google Timeline on Android? I need testers for my free Timeline Tracks app. DM with your Google Account (ie email address) and I'll add you to the testers list, then you can download and try it!

Background: Google Timeline usually gets locations by triangulating nearby Wi-Fi. That uses almost no battery. But when you're in the outdoors, the phone guesses badly from distant Wi-Fi or cell towers, so your paths and distances are a mess. Same for location-sharing apps: my wife stresses when I'm off-grid and she can't see where I am. Strava et al can give you GPS quality, but drains battery.

The fix: Timeline Tracks. Next time you go hiking or boating or hang gliding, start the app. It runs in the background, fetches GPS-quality locations occasionally (saving battery), and forgets them. But as a side effect, other apps on your phone get the accurate locations.

The app itself is 100% private (it doesn't even have network permission) and will always be free with no ads. I built it for my own use, and others might find it useful too.

I need testers to use the app once and keep it installed for 14 days, so the app can graduate to production. And I'd love to get any feedback!
