When I used to look up store locations in the app, the name of the business I was searching for typically rose to the top of the listed results after a few words (sometimes with a logo for larger chains) and the results that appeared on the map only showed actual locations of that business.

Now the search bar functions more like a keyword search - businesses don’t appear in the results list even after typing in their full name, and options that pop up on the map are irrelevant or sponsored.

For example, if I search for Old Navy, I’ll get results for similar businesses (like Nordstrom Rack) and completely unrelated ones with similar names (like “Navy Bar” or “2-bedroom condo in old historic navy yard”). Then I have to go digging through dozens of those listings to find the actual Old Navy locations near me.

Is this a recent update? Are there any settings I can change to get relevant search results back?

I’ve looked through several NYC stylist recs in this group/online and feel like the services I’m seeing are pretty similar (closet clean-outs, in-store shopping, etc.) and focused on updating your existing wardrobe.

However, I’ve made some major personal transformations between weight loss, a career change, etc. and would like to completely re-think my style and image.

My dream stylist would use a mix of body type/color analysis, lifestyle Q&A, and style inspo review to inform recommendations and outfit formulas. I would also love a curated lookbook (with shopping links!) that puts everything together.

Does this type of “start from scratch” styling service exist in NYC?

Hi BWTs! I know many workplaces offer some form of summer Fridays. Our team is expected to be available and check in every few hours, but we don’t need to stay chained to our desks.

I’d love to use this opportunity to check out some local day spas, pools, museums, etc. but not sure which places have decent connectivity and allow occasional phone/laptop use. Any ideas?

My personal rec is Spa Club in Koreatown as their lounge is very casual and dry/wet spaces are completely separate. I saw several people put in a few hours of work between sauna sessions last time I visited.

I enrolled at Crunch in 2025 and paid for 12 months upfront to take advantage of a promotion that offered an additional 6 months free (18 months total). This was published on their website/printed materials and mentioned by several membership staff.

But as soon as my Crunch account was created, I saw the membership expiration date was in 12 months. After several calls/emails between June-September 2025, they confirmed in writing that my membership was valid for 18 months and the contract would be updated after they resolved a “back end issue.”

We’re now nearly at the 12 month mark and my account still hasn’t been updated. I’ve replied to the thread every month or two and have barely gotten responses, including from the general managers at my local locations. At this point, I’d be happy with either a formal extension or a refund for the 6 months excluded from my contract ($500).

How should I handle this from here? Is it worth filing a chargeback for undelivered services if they cancel my membership after 12 months? Is there somewhere else I should reach out to try to get this resolved?
