Help me pick my new bike

I ride lots of singletrack/semi hard enduro with fsr and old mine roads inbetween, 90% of my riding is first or second gear on my 230 with the occasional road section getting up into 5th. (Before anyone says it, I know a 300 is a significant jump, I was planning on waiting another year but circumstances have changed and a new bike is coming sooner)

I’ve been set on a 300xc-w but the dealer hit me with a curveball of an offer on a gas gas ex300 and now I’m burying myself in comparisons and I’m no closer to making a choice.

I like the idea of the linear power, heavier flywheel and PDS for my low speed enduro riding, plus the headlight and burlier stator for running lights and fans.

I never would’ve considered the ex300 but the price difference after financing makes it incredibly tempting with an overall difference of about 3700$ Cad between bike discount, store credit for parts and a significantly better interest rate.
I plan to keep this bike for years and ride it until the wheels fall off.

If I go EX am I going to find myself regretting it and wishing I got the xc-w and wanting to change down the road?

Rn25 front springs help

Bought this 78 hilux, previous owner absolutely dumped it by cutting his lowering springs, which I love, however it’s too low, metal on metal bottoming out constantly, I’d like to raise it back up atleast an inch or two or even further but I’m having trouble finding springs. MOOG-8576 seems to be discontinued and I’ve been getting the runaround from retailers who say they have stock. What are my other options? I’ve heard some Datsun springs work?
