XC60 T8 Recharge 2024 - Stepping down from 22" Wheels
Hey gang, we need to step down from our 22" rims to something smaller to allow for higher profile tires. Not only is the ride is terrible with 22s, a pothole pinched 2/4 tires this weekend... We were going to do this anyway, but the flats sealed the deal. I'm seeing all sorts of advice out there about what will/will not fit over our brake calipers. Since this is a T8 recharge we've got bigger breaks. It's been polestar tuned apparently, but isn't the polestar edition.
Our dealer says 20" is safe. 19" might work. 18" is not really going to happen. We want to get this back on the road pronto so Costco wheels/tires (Velox) is what we were looking at. Anyone have experience with this? Here's what the dealer shared for fitting...

We are in northern New England so we would also be looking at snows/studs for an extra set of tires etc down the road.
