I need class 2 correction, however the class 2 elastics literally cause my front upper teeth to hit and SCRAPE across my front lower teeth! its awful!!!! ortho keeps saying to wear class 2 elastics while *hopefully* torque bends work on upper front teeth to move them forward.

I want to finish and I want this fixed, but constantly hitting my front teeth together just feels so wrong and damaging. idk if my ortho is confused on how heavily im actually hitting or if they are just wanting to fix the bite then address the front? I never hit my front teeth in my natural occlusion before things were all rearranged

anyone else? molars tipped out towards cheek? which causes wearing down of lower molar. horrible bite.
if you have/had this, how was it fixed

seems like they try to normalize this irreversible and damaging process. AND they often do not tell you about it beforehand.

how can this be corrected? elastics aren't helping

if your bite is horrible after ortho, have you ever tried to intentionally re-crowd your lower teeth out of desperation for comfort and to stop damaging your teeth? I dont want to do further IPR as it strips protective layers from teeth
