Old vs New.

Like the title says, im curious as what skarner mains think of the Old vs the new version of skarner.

I myself really like the new skarner, as in most situations he has decent damage, decent cc, great survivability. Not to mention his current ult can win team fights on its own.

So my question is what makes the old version better than the new? As I've seen a decent amount of ppl ask for his old version back.

objectives rehaul

I was thinking about the objectives, and how right now they really feel like an end all be all for the game, like if you dont take objectives youre trolling.
Would it be possible to rehaul objectives to the point where they're like a win condition but not an end all be all?
I think this would be really good for the jungle role in particular, as the pressure to take objectives will get lowered. I think they should still exist to give a team thats winning an edge, but maybe we shift towards towers getting weaker as the game goes on, e.g the towers lose hp and resistances as the game goes on, so that the game still can finish easily within 30 minutes. But that ending doesnt rely on getting baron/elder.
on the topic of elder drake, I think elemental drakes as of right now are really bad for the game, because any single one drake has no meaningful impact on the game, but when you get soul, thats almost a guaranteed win.
maybe a cool rework of drakes could be that they scale exponentially with game time, so that every dragon is worth as much as the next, and they get stronger as the game goes on. So you have incentive to take the drake when you can take it, because the buffs they give scale with game time. This way I believe every dragon is as important as the next. Then instead of a singular dragon soul, we get a soul drake that will be in place of the elder drake. This soul drake gives the soul effect of the elemental rift, HOWEVER this is a temporary buff that the team has until the next soul drake spawns, and then both teams can contest it for the soul.
I feel like this still keeps the rewards of the elemental soul system, but it makes individual drakes more important. Also there's no pressure to take drakes to get soul. In this system there would also just be a set amount of drakes, I think it best to make this an odd number, so that one team has a definitive edge over the other.
Now onto the other side of the rift, I feel like the grubbies are really underwhelming in comparison to shelly and baron. instead of the grubs spawning at one singular time, the grubs spawn at multiple different times during the game and give you stronger buffs the later you get them.
I was thinking about this because the league next project is on the way, so maybe we could see another jungle overhaul.
I also saw a video talking about smite, I think something also worth examining is a way to secure objectives that doesnt involve a smite, maybe just make it an inherent quality of junglers that they deal extra damage against objectives, so that making sure objectives dont get stolen is more of a team effort than it resting all on the junglers shoulders to outsmite the enemy jungler
