I’ve missed two of my classes (the rest are asynchronous) for the last seven weeks. I got sexually assaulted during a frat party, spent the night in the ER and kind of lost my mind after. My dad also got diagnosed with cancer, and I just decided to leave without telling anyone (I know, stupid) and am just now returning to UB. Technically, I can still pass one of the classes with around a 75% even if the professor isn’t understanding and I’m not sure about the other one. Do professors usually understand this stuff? Should I even reach out to tell them what happened? I know I’m screwed and I know it’s my fault. I’ve never really had to reach out to a professor like this, so I just wanna know how understanding they usually are
