Summer courses
I have no summer courses listed on my hub and I enrolled in 2, when will I be able to see them?

Basically I'm kind of upset that I missed out on an easy A this past semester and am confused with my final grade being weighted this way lol
A couple friends and I are planning a road trip this fall and UB is one of our potential stops.
We invented a football themed party game; think football meets beer pong. We wanted to test it at different schools during the football season (just straight up testing, we aren’t selling anything).
We just wanted to know may be some good spots to look at. Any specific bars, tailgate lots, frats, etc?
Any advice would help a ton! Thanks!
My major is biomedical sciences. What computer should I get? Is Apple compatible or should I get a dell/lenovo? If anyone has any recommendations let me know.
I've heard RAs don't pay for housing, I would def like a piece of that pie.
I just don't know if it's 1) even possible, given the amount of students at UB and 2) worth the time. Like RA duties getting in the way of school, affecting my grades that kind of thing.
Anyone have experience or wisdom to share?
Basically title.
I graduated a while back with a BA in bio in 2019, I originally wanted to do ChemE after taking a few electives in engineering but I was already a super senior and didn't want to add more time. I have been working a meh job, it's related in my field but there's really no advancement and the only way to move up is to move to Boston or SF, which I don't want to do.
Perhaps it's a symptom of my unc status - reminiscing on the past, but I recently checked the UB flow sheet for engineering and it seems I could finish in about two years as I took all the engineering math classes (calc III, diff, linear) after graduating (I had a brief moment where I considered going back for a CS degree but found out I hated debugging software).
I spoke with some advisor in the school of engineering a few months ago and he told me that basically any class under 200 I would not need to retake, things taken after my bachelor's would count as long as they weren't applied for another degree program.
Has anyone done this? For me, I think it's past the point of wishful thinking and into the "I have seriously considered this" realm. The only sad part is that I am turning 31 soon so I feel I am on a time crunch. I do feel the chemE degree would help augment the bio degree, as I worked with a bioprocessing division at my old job and liked the bioreactor stuff they did. Sadly you NEEDED an ABET engineering degree to transfer or apply.
How bad is my schedule? I was told I don’t have any flexibility with this. So, how bad is it?
I am an international student so I can only work on campus for money and to get my ssn . Since orientation and welcome leaders competition is high , I am left with cds but I heard its mentally exhausting . Any other options ?
I will be a junior next fall, and I want to graduate a semester early (for some context though, I’m a neuroscience major philosophy minor so there’s not a lot of space to “mess” up), and I am pretty flexible to either do 19 credits, or 22 if I wanted to continue my summer research in the fall.
I genuinely believe that anything after orgo will be light (got A-s in both 1 and 2), so I’m overloading my STEM classes, and I don’t know if that’s the right thing to do. I’m trying to justify taking 4 (BIO 305, NRS 301, PSY 351, PMY 309, no extra labs though), because this is the first time I’m taking so many STEM courses at the same time, but also I think I can do it (especially cause I’ve already taken “harder” classes—for ex. the first 2 weeks of PGY 300 neuro unit is literally the coursework of the whole NRS 301 semester, I also took BIO 448 where I had fun memorizing the “pathways” of biochemical processes).
Honestly what I’m most worried about is PMY 309. It is a 4 credit lab class where we meet once a week. I asked for the syllabus beforehand, and 50% of the grade is the practical and final (which is…erg). I’m not used to lab credits being this high (bc usually they’re only 1 credit but have so much work associated with them) so ig it’s cool that this lab “reflects” that work but I lowkey don’t know if I want to take it. It was very competitive to get in (esp since there’s limited seats, not in honors college), and I already told the professor that I think it’s important to take her class cause I want wet lab experience, but this class is something I don’t *need* to do, I just want to do it while my classes are relatively easy (my spring sem is looking HARD) but I was wondering if anyone who had taken any of these classes have any insights. Any would be appreciated!
Did anyone take microbiology last semester? how was the class? Can anyone can send me the syllabus so I can see what to expect
Hi,
I'll be taking fluid mechanics next sem, so I was thinking do any yt plylists kinda cover the stuff professors go through, like statics and solid mechanics were really helpful following jeff Hanson, but then again I couldn't follow anything for the diff eq course or machines 1 , had to learn from the notes.
I just found out today that we need one for calc 3 this summer and Google isn’t being very helpful. Does anyone know how what testing facility I can use in NYC? I can also go up to 2 hours away. Please help 😭😭😭😭
so i lowkey will get a gpa below 2.0 this semester… shitty freshman year. will i be under academic warning or probation? obviously, i will strive to do better now that ill be doing classes ill enjoy.
i basically failed biology, the lab and as well as chem 101. my major however is history education (i switched at the start of the semester) so i shouldn’t worry over major dismissal. however that chemistry credit is lowkey needed!
edit: technically i passed chem with a D+, but in my eyes that’s failing
i plan to retake the bio stuff this summer and retake chemistry in another semester (not this fall, maybe winter or next spring.)
for context, i did have to do a medical withdrawal in the fall. how screwed am i?
I want to do an art project with walnut shells and haven’t had luck finding any with my eyes on the morning commute
I’m taking PHY 108 in the fall and looking to get ahead on material over the summer, what is the textbook the professors use? Thanks in advance!
Abbott closing at 7 now is killing my productivity. I only go to south to go to abbott, so im not sure whats in any of the buildings. Is there any study spaces a la Baldy tables or NSC like, that are open all the time? Any recommendations?
hello! so i failed two classes this semester but passed all my other classes (i was taking around 19 credits). i’m a little worried about my excelsior refund, since it requires 30 applicable credits. i have 23 stacked up from my ap classes (i did an medical withdrawal in the fall) so would i be fine?
UB has taken the parking lot next to SU and is building an AI data center in its place.
There is no place or reason for AI to be on this campus. Nobody wants it. UB is making a huge mistake by creating an artificial intelligence institute. So many other majors and fields are at risk because of the rise of AI, not the mention the environment factors involved.
