I'm an incoming freshman and I check my schedule and there's randomly a new 199 seminar class added on friday. I don't know whether or not this is mandatory, because I checked and it isn't worth any credits. And if it isn't mandatory I would like to drop the class honestly.
My major is Civil Engineering.
So, yesterday I called UB about the Federal Parent Plus loan i took out, which I needed to pay for college. The lady, who was super nice btw, basically said that I did everything right on my part and that it was just a system error or something. Whatever, right? She says she'll tell her supervisor and by tomorrow it should be fixed. Tomorrow comes, balance is still in the thousands, loan isn't applied. Bill is due today, I lowkey can't pay for college.
I did everything right and yet I'm still screwed over 😭
I'll try calling them again today but worst case scenario and I don't get the money what should I even do? I'm at such a loss and I'm just tired about stressing over it when it isn't even my fault.
I was told my loan would disburse on 8/17/2026. Waited the whole day, it didn't show up. Bill's due tomorrow, so I wake up at exactly 8:30 to contact the school, but somehow they have "too many calls," despite me calling right at 8:30 when they supposedly open. Now I'm sitting here stressing over wtf I'm going to do because I have 7,000 in balance and the money that I literally accepted isn't appearing? I already emailed them but I don't know if I'll get a response in time. Please help anyone.
The money doesn't even show up under anticipated aid or anything.
I took out a federal parent plus loan with my father, and it was "supposed" to be disbursed today, and the money also shows up in MyUB, but when I go to View & Pay my balance is still the same as it was several days ago.
I'm kind of stressing out now because the money's due in 2 days and I still haven't received the loan, and I literally cannot pay for college if this loan isn't disbursed.
Am I missing something??? Is anyone else going through the same thing as me?
I took out a parent plus loan with the government a while back and now that the bill has come out I'd like to pay for it but UB hasn't processed the loan so it's not in my balance so I'm short for money.
I've already contacted the financial aid office but I'll have to wait 1-2 days for a response from them.
When can I expect for my loan to be added to my bill?
Hi, I'm an incoming freshman and I don't really understand pathway courses at all.
I watched the video and read the webpage but I'm still confused.
Am I supposed to take all of the classes I selected in List 1, 2, and 3 for the year?
Is there any reason it's divided into 3 lists?
I'm a Civil Engineering major so I already understand that I should select my prerequisite class for List 3.
I also completed AP Psychology and it says completed on the list for intro to psychology so, dumb question I know, but if I select that course I won't have to take it but I'd still get the credit, right?
Please drop any suggestions for pathway courses below. I'm just looking for relatively easy classes that aren't time consuming. Thanks!

Hello! I'm an incoming freshman at UB and recently I've received mail from UB talking about I should view my eBill and pay it, but the only problem is that it just doesn't show how much I have to pay. I checked under statement history and there's no information available so I'm confused.
I was told to check under Statement History and it has no information available.
Also, another question. How does my financial aid factor into the ebill? I've gotten financial aid plus loans and I was wondering how does that money contribute to paying to the e-bill? Is it automatically reduced from the cost or do I need to do something to use that money to help pay for school?
