I believe that the most harmful thing for humanity is religion. It causes political divide, war, racism, misogyny, pedophilia and many more harmful views. I would never actively stop or belittle someone for believing in a religion or a higher power, but I do believe it’s incredibly damaging. I also do totally understand why people are religious, especially if they have gone through extreme trauma or grief.

Am I an athiest or antitheist?

I only recently discovered antitheism is a term and I’m curious as to if you can only be classed as that if you actively oppose religion and seek to change people’s viewpoints.
