Any people know of the quality of the program here? How are the professors and the department?

I am an incoming grad student on STEM for the next semester. I am currently learning french at around B1-B2 level, and would like to ask if there are any french clubs/tables for non-french majors to practice speaking?

J'irai rejoindre une programe de troisième cycle au sujet de STEM pendant la prochaine semestre et je suis en train d'apprendre la langue française à un niveau B1-B2. Est-ce qu'il y a des clubs ou des organismes pour pratiquer la parole en français pour les étudiants qui ne sont pas une partie d'une prgrame d'étude française?

Incoming international grad student here. I am currently looking at the housing and transit options for students living off-campus. So what do you guys who are currently living off-campus do to get to school? Do you think the public transit is good enough in Ottawa or maybe the car ownership is kind of necessary?
