After having gone through an impacted canine and bringing it back with braces, 8 years later I got pain and Xray showed infection.

The dentist said that my nerve was dead and the infection was pretty bad. I got prescribed flagyl and amoxicillin to be taken and a couple days later got the root canal done.

Now it’s been a couple days since I’ve had the operation and the pain has gone away for the most part with some swelling.

My worry was when I felt around the tooth with my tongue I felt a bump on my gum above the tooth. I was wondering if this is worrying and pus meaning the infection is still present. Or if it’s just swelling maybe a bit of pus that will go away with antibiotics. Thanks!
