How to calibrate 6yo Maytag washing machine

Our 6yo Maytag top loading washing machine MVW6200KW0 had its shift actuator replaced and did a load ok. It is now showing code for reset so am looking for a procedure specific to its keyboard/dial. I tried pressing the Temp - Options - Deep Fill keys consecutively and repeated 2X, after which the 4 LEDs at the top started blinking but nothing happened afterwards and not sure if these steps are applicable. Appreciate if anyone can help out with this

Our 6 yo Maytag front loader washing machine made a loud buzzing noise and the drum did not move when started yesterday. Then a loud screeching/grinding sound for a few seconds, after which the drum started to rotate and the cycle seemed to work ok without further trouble or noise. A 2nd load worked ok, and started ok when tried a 3rd time empty. The 2 loads weren't large, maybe about 1/3 full. Any thoughts on whats going on or action to take. Thanks very much
