Cedar Point constantly dissappoints
I've done two separate trips with my family now, and I have to say they have to get their act together.
The rides are top notch *when* operating.
We got there early to get on sirens curse, got in line, and it was shut down....5 minutes after the park opened. After waiting 20 minutes, we left the line and ran to TT2, which had a 15 minute wait. The ride broke down twice while in line and waited 45 to finally ride it. (Still not a long wait considering, but the park wasn't busy...can't imagine what it's like when the expected wait is longer).
Went to steel vengeance and basically walked on! Got stuck halfway through on the ride for 20 minutes in 95° sun. My 10 yr old son was scared and worried. The worker laughed at how sweaty we were when we got off. We did get a free line skip pass though.
Walked to millennium Force and the line was closed for maintenance. Came back later and the ride shut down for 15 minutes when we were next in line to get on.
All but two roller coasters broke down while in line or on the ride.
I've seen others complain about this and people make excuses for the park. I can say, this is only an issue here. We have been going to kings Island for 4 years....no ride has ever shut down ever (as unbelievable that may be).
The workers are also just generally less friendly and unhelpful. There are some great workers, not saying it's everyone. But one worker on TT2 was doing tictok dances and was disinterested. Another worker didn't know what the line skip pass was when we tried to use it on the Maverick. Another was irritated with me when I asked how the meal plan we purchased ahead of time worked.
This has the potential to be a great park, but at every turn, we were being disappointed.
As I said, this was our second trip. We came 3 years ago and had a very similar experience, except the line break downs was worse this year.
