How far would you walk to cross the road at an intersection?
Sorry for the very German question. In big cities, there are pedestrian crossings everywhere - maybe you have to walk 50-200m to cross the road correctly but on an empty street in a rural area, you might just cross where you’re standing because there isn’t an official pedestrian crossing anywhere in the vicinity. How far would you say you would be willing to walk to cross ‚correctly‘ at a pedestrian crossing? Or is there another rule you would follow?
