Assisted living/in home care

Hello,

My dad is currently in hospital but hopefully will be getting released in the next week or so. He lives alone in his bungalow with his dogs and, well, he had a cat but I think everyone has seen that I have since lost her and haven’t found her yet. He’s going to have home care coming (we just don’t know how often yet) because during all the other health stuff he went into the hospital with, he also required a toe amputation. They will just be there for dressings changes. But he has a spare bedroom downstairs with a bathroom and I would like to try and find like a live in nanny/ home care aid. Just to help with cleaning or cooking, making sure he is taking his meds. I know there are so many business in the city that offer 24/7 care but I’m hoping to find someone who knows someone who does this or has some experience with someone. I just don’t think he can live alone full time yet but their house is handicap accessible, has a chair to ride up and down the stairs, all the doorways were widened to fit a wheelchair.

Anyone know of someone? We’d offer free accommodations then pay for their time.

Thanks!

Missing cat

On Tuesday, June 2nd at 11pm, my parent’s cat, Holly, got out my back door by the hockey rink on Fir Street. I had picked her up from their house that evening because my mom recently passed and now my dad is in hospital. If you live around here, can you please keep an eye out for her. She is microchipped. She was my mom’s baby and I need to find her safe.

My mother has chosen her right to use MAID. And I fully support it. She has been battling infection and cancer for too long. She is ready. And our family is ready for her to close this chapter of her life. I just can’t believe that in less than 24 hours she will be gone.
