How is the UK job market for Data Engineers after a Master's?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to do a Master's in the UK and currently have 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer.

How is the UK job market for Data Engineers/Ai engineers right now? Is it really that difficult to get a job after graduation, even with relevant experience and good technical skills?

I'm also interested in working in the motorsports industry. Is that a realistic goal in the UK?

I'd appreciate any honest advice or experiences.

Thanks!

Should I accept a tuition-free MBA at a German public university or wait another year for a Data Science/CS admit?

I applied to several German public universities for Master's programs in Data Science and Computer Science, but unfortunately I didn't receive an admission offer from any of them.

However, I did get admitted to an MBA program at a German public university with zero tuition fees.

My background is:

Bachelor's in Computer Science

Around 2.5–3 years of experience in technical roles (Python, SQL, data engineering/software-related work)

I'm confused about what to do.

If I pursue the MBA, will I still be able to get good jobs in Germany, especially since all my previous experience is technical? Can I transition into IT-related management, product management, consulting, or even technical roles after an MBA?

Or would it be better to skip this opportunity, strengthen my profile, and apply again next year for a Data Science or Computer Science master's?

Can i find a job in tech field after mba ?

I'd really appreciate advice from people who have studied or worked in Germany, especially those who have seen how the job market treats international MBA graduates with a technical background.

MBA vs Data Science Master's in Germany – Which would you choose?

my_qualifications :

I have a Bachelor's in Computer Science (Data Science specialization) and around 3 years of experience working in the IT/data field in INDIA

I have admission offers for both:

An MBA program in Germany

A Master's in Data Science in Germany

Both programs are tuition-free, so cost is not a deciding factor.

My long-term goal is to work in Europe and maximize career growth and earning potential.

My confusion is:

Everyone seems to recommend the Data Science master's because it's more technical and supposedly leads to better job opportunities.

However, if I already have a CSE background and prior technical experience, wouldn't an MBA give me a broader profile by combining technical knowledge with business and management skills?

If I continue developing my Data Engineering/Data Science skills on my own during the MBA, would I still be competitive for technical roles?

From a European job market perspective, would employers value:

CSE + Data Science Master's

CSE + 2.5 years experience + MBA

more highly?

I'm especially interested in hearing from:

Hiring managers

Engineers who later moved into management

Anyone who chose MBA over a technical master's (or vice versa)

Looking back, which path would you choose and y ?
