Lovely Type 99 Arisaka Rifle with mum!

Behold, I have an early war type 99 Japanese rifle all matching with mum! This rifle is approximately a Nagoya Arsenal Second Variation rifle. The stock has its usual Nagoya mark cartouches for that time. This rifle has a really good bore. Note the monopod left its mark near the muzzle. All picked up for about 670$ including transfer fees.

Sadly, it didn’t have its cleaning rod or dust cover. I plan on getting the bayonet, monopod, sling, and dust cover for it.

What kind of ammo is this?

I bought this for really cheap. Roughly 40$ or so for 101 rounds of this random rifle cartridge that caught my eye. From what I was told these were tracer rounds because of the red tip on them.

Is trading an RC all matching P.38 worth it?

I want to trade my P.38 for either an 03A3 or an 03. Or simply put an M1 garand?

Trade complete. M48 Mauser rifle.

Hello everyone. How did I do? I traded a used Glock 17 gen 3 for this M48. The M48 I think is all matching except for the magazine floor plate. It does have a mint mirror bore however!

Won a Walther P-38 early code AC-42 "a" block all matching.

How did I do? Just won this early code Walther P.38 AC-42, although nickel plated. It is all matching with matching magazine. It'll be around 925$ including fees, shipping, and transfer.

Hungarian contract browning 1922.

This is a World War Two bring back from what I know that I saw at a local gun shop. The man behind the counter asked for 550$ for this one. I checked the bore and it’s really good looking. It’s a Dutch contract I think he said and all parts matching. Is it a deal or no deal?

My Walther P.38

I bought this awhile ago for under 800$. It’s all matching with matching magazine. Since it’s “D” block the magazines wouldn’t be serialized anymore after the 1942 “C” block.

The locking block matches too, although, note the “X” on the frame which indicates Russian capture. This makes for a fascinating piece because Russian captures are typically mismatched.

Please note that the grips are also matching too with the write factory codes on the inside. The barrel is a 7/10.

SKS identification.

Hello everyone. I’m new to this sub and just got this SKS. What year is it from and what’s it worth?

Gewehr 98. Is it worth it?

Hello everyone. I’ll be adding images soon. I’m wondering if this is a good trade.

AR-15 sport two.

Three Beretta handguns. 2 1934s and one 1935.

In exchange I get a mint bore Gewehr 98 and it was used in Na*I Germany during WW2 with 280 waffenampt stamps. It’s a Mauser oberndorf 1916. Mostly matching except the buttplate and barrel bands. Some pitting, refurb receiver, stock is in good shape.

M96 swedish Bolt Help

Help! I messed up on my M96 bolt. Earlier I went to the range, pulled the trigger and the gun didn't fire. The firing pin doesn't seem to protrude when the trigger is pulled. I figured it was that the bolt assembly was put back wrong the first time I tried it.

Now, I unscrewed the bolt just now, and screwed it back in. The bolt is uncocked. Last time I had to use strength to pull the cocking piece back. Before I tried fixing it today, the bolt wouldn't disassemble perfectly. When I went to cock the bolt to disassemble it, it didn't work because when I tried to do so, the switch up at the top of the first picture was stuck in place.

How can I make this into a functional bolt again and make the gun go bang? I'm due to the range next week for it. All help is appreciated.

Mauser 1914. Is my firing pin broken?

Update: The bent firing pin wasn’t bent. The area at the pin head was dirty. The firing pin tail of you call it sticks out when the slide is closed. When it’s racked it still sticks out. The firing pin head is separated from the tail as that’s common. It does go back in there easily but comes off easily. I still have a bit of cleaning to do.

Mauser 1914 Restoration and Restored!

Hello everyone!

I made an earlier post about my Mauser 1914 a few weeks ago. In the beginning of this tour, you will see that she was sadly suffering from lack of attention and a cruel fate to rust and with nobody caring for her until I came along. My first step was obtaining the necessary parts to restore her. When I first got her, thankfully she had the entire complete lower assembly. Otherwise, finding parts would've been a pain.

Anyway, her frame is from 1923. And she is the 149th gun of the Mauser 1914 series. Her pistol slide is a later year. Yes, she is mismatched. I got a slide, which came with an extractor. I got grips for her too. Finding the recoil spring guide rod was tough, but I asked around on Ebay for sellers who'd most likely have one and I got lucky. I obtained a firing pin, although bent from someone for dirt cheap. If anyone could help me fix it, I'd appreciate it.

I do not have grip screws. I am trying to find those online. I chambered a round in her and it ejected perfectly. I cold blued her with Jax steel and iron and that entire process took about four hours.

My mistakes were baking her with too much oil to begin a different process I regret doing, but she came out beautifully! Now, she has all parts in her, and none missing except for the grip screws.

If anyone has any of those, let me know! Otherwise, please enjoy this post and the revival of another milsurp gun!

Reunited at last! Beretta 1934’s.

In an astonishing moment, I just picked up another beretta 1934 off of PSA and I checked both barrel serial numbers and they are right next to each other!!!

I get that maybe the sequence of each serial number could be hundreds of serial numbers away with the same last 5 digits but come on! These are two barrels one serial numbers apart.

1917 Beautiful Erfurt Luger

All matching 1917 Erfurt Luger with “1710” as the serial number. I’m wondering what approximate month this was made in as the P.38s were recorded monthly. Magazine is new reproduction. However, whenever I go to cock it back the toggle link doesn’t sit on the reproduction magazine which it should, so what is the problem? This Luger sadly isn’t mine, but it was bought for a good price. It hasn’t been blued, all original war finish. She is a pretty ol’ gal and shoots well and accurate!

C96 Broomhandle Pistol Questions

The holiest of the holy of all grail guns. I'm wondering about this C96 as I have questions about it. I'm now wondering about what year it is from, or what the markings are. I know they are German acceptance proofs. It's all matching internals and externals. Barrel/bore is in good shape. Repro stock. What's the value on this?

Insane Deal at Gun Show M96 German Contract

I traded a crossbow for this M96 Mauser which is an Oberndorf Mauser Waffenfabrik made in 1900. Mint bore, all matching parts except buttplate and cleaning rod. How did I do?
