Saw it with family yesterday. It was my birthday(happy cake day?) so I picked this movie and I felt bad for doing this to them. I watch tons of bottom barrel netflix/hulu/tubi movies and can enjoy many of them for what they are. I would say that give me a good opinion and someone who isn't looking for perfection in movies.

It has the production and the look of being expensive, it looks like they put some serious big movie money into it. But the script is as thin as paper mache. Everybody talks like a TikTok character, like their lines sound like they were written by someone's whose chronically online or maybe even AI. Very weird dialogue. You'll notice it instantly. The "evil" people are comically evil in ways that even the most annoying/a hole people aren't in real life. Like 2005 Disney channel movie evil. Doing stuff nobody would ever do, just to show you their evil, like kick puppies/kittens type of evil people and then do a comical laugh afterwards. Not an actual scene just an example of the type of writing is here.

Biggest thing though for me as a horror fan was, It wasn't scary nor did it have any tension. Most of it feels like a lifetime drama movie from 2008 my grandma would watch, they put this sappy overdramatic music over things where there is supposed to be high tension. And unlike "Snakes on A Plane" it's not funny. So it doesn't really have any redeeming qualities. Wish I picked Hokum or ANYthing else, we went out to eat after for my b day and pretty much every thought it was trash which is pretty rare for my group as there is some real slop movie enjoyers in there. It's the definition of a watch when it's on streaming and you've watched literally everything else first type of movie.

Shout out to Aaron Eckhart though he is gangster and gives a 10/10 performance in a 2/10 movie. He won't get any accolades from this, but he acts circles around everyone in the movie, almost like watching a pro athlete go up against high schoolers. His stock just went WAY WAY UP to me hopefully he gets some better stuff soon.
